The Shaman's Revenge

Alpha Richard

We all headed into the cabin, it would take some time to fully repair, but it was fine for now. I shuffled my way to the fire and put on a kettle for tea.  While letting the water boil, Creature was trying his best to repair some more of the cottage. It was awkward, Crow was still unsettled, and the air was heavy with the new fog. The kettle whistled and I made myself some soothing black tea, and sat at the kitchen table.

"There was an Alpha named James, he was a slime ball that would s*x traffic our kind as 'exotic' slaves. I found out about it and got the Council involved, it ended up, to keep peace between packs, that I killed him in a very 'non-humane' way. After I had done that though, the rest of the Council decided to turn against me, but from what you told me, it seems there was talk of Alpha Richard being put on trial for helping James."

Creature was getting angry, we could fell it, "however he only helped James because his beloved daughter had been taken from him and James was using her to control Richard. We had someone go see what was happening, but he got caught and was held for a few days, while he was being held, he saw Richard's daughter either die or dead, I'm not sure which. From what you said, Richard believed that he would be punished harshly. If I had any say, he wouldn't, but I havent been around them since they blinded me."

Creature made a screech that could have broken windows, we could all feel that he was very angry, he pounded the table which shattered into pieces and knocked over my tea. "Yes, but I can't heal my own eyes the same way I can heal others, however the loss of my eyesight has opened new doors of magic I would have never otherwise preformed. Also, you spilled my tea." Crow made an angry CAW at Creature, as the situation was a bit calmer now.

"With all of this knew knowledge, it seems I have to find some friends and expose this ring of crap...from what you told me, I still have standings with a few Alphas, and maybe I can get things settled out, plus I can find new allies if I need to, the problem is for killing an alpha I'd have to stand trial, so I'd need to see how many I have on my side or what I'd need to do. Possibility of war could happen depending on who takes whom's side a lot of things really so I need to plan carefully, and I need to take care of a vendetta."

Creature had poured me a new cup of tea, but he had over sugared it, I accepted with a thank you and he will just have to learn how to make tea and not syrup water. I was feeling tired so I went to my bed and laid down to sleep. This was a busy day and I used a lot of energy marking off my forest like this, but it was going to stay until I made it dissipate. I heard Crow settle into his nest in the rafters.

~Alpha Richard's P.O.V~

"What was that unholy thing??" I asked after we reached the end of the forest. Everyone looked terrified. "Why wasn't Thorn with us??" I asked the rest of the Council.

"Thorn is busy with wedding plans." Nick said with a twinge of anger in his voice. "Why did YOU bring us to the Shaman's forest though? Trying to kill us now? Anger rose in Nick's voice now as the rest of the Council that was present stood behind him.

"What, do you think this was planned by me?" Richard shouted.

"No, but you've had it in for the Shaman since Jame's death." Lucas said.

"She killed him!" Richard stated.

"Yes so we wouldn't have to start a war, now the most we've done is injured her and made her angry, so angry in fact she doesn't even want us near her woods." Nick said.

"And why doesn't she want us here?" Richard started, "because she's killing humans, my scouts saw it, she tore through this place and destroyed it. Did none of you hear that whistle she made? Then that that...that THING left us alone? She's trying to kill us all, and any of you who want to go back and kiss her ass again are stupid because shes just going to kill you ALL."

We all looked at each other, then suddenly a flash of what looked like a spirit ran beside us, it was glowing, beautiful, like a siren singing to sailors in the ocean, we all took a collective step towards it to follow but it was gone. After some murmurs about if it was real or not and some "did you see that?" or "I must have been dreaming." This thick purple fog like air came from the forest, nothing felt right, without waiting for any of the other Council members, I shifted and bolted back home as fast as I could, I wasn't waiting around for the Shaman to come after me.

~Creature's P.O.V~

She was just laying there, I know its called sleeping, but for some reason I couldn't feel sleepy, or tired. I know I made a mess of things, but she kept her end of the bargain and I'll keep mine, Everything here I will protect..even if they don't understand yet. I looked at Crow, who was hiding in his nest, he had such a beautiful colour, I thought crows were black? I quickly turned my head to look back at her, she was already rested? That didn't take long.

~Shaman's P.O.V~

I stretched as I sat up in bed, I had no idea how long I had been out, but I was feeling much better now, today I'll take it easy, and tomorrow I'll go to see Thorn, and gather information about everyone and where they all stand as far as who I have as friends, and who I have as enemies , and more importantly, who I should be seeking revenge on if it's just a person or a whole group.
