  Freya’s POV   The sun was too hot today, or maybe it was just me. My feet ached badly from walking around all morning, going from one office to another, only to hear the same words over and over again.   “Sorry, we’re not hiring.”   “You’re not what we’re looking for.”   “We’ll get back to you.”   They never do. It was all a lie. Once I heard those words, I always lost hope because the probability of being called back was one in a million.   I stepped out of the last building, my chest heavy and my hands gripping the hand of my aging totebag. My savings were almost gone. I had bills to pay, food to buy… but no one seemed to care.
