Freya sorted through the last file on her desk. She leaned back, resting her aching back on the chair. It was time for lunch, a good time to pay Orson a surprise visit which she knew was going to have tongues wagging.
His office was at the top of the building, so she took the elevator. As she walked in, the first person she met was his personal secretary who didn't look too happy to see her. Seems like the gossip had traveled very fast.
"Good afternoon," Freya greeted. "Kindly tell the Alpha that I'm here to see him."
The lady who'd been scrolling through her tablet, spared Freya a glance before returning her eyes back to the screen without saying a word. Freya, who didn't want to be the one to start a quarrel, waited.
