Chapter 22 Author's POV Elgin’s fingers trembled slightly as he lifted another glass to his lips, his gaze drifting between the dim light of the bar and the ringing phone screen. Miles’ name flashed insistently, but Elgin ignored it, too wrapped up in the haze of anger and jealousy to care. One more drink wouldn’t hurt—maybe then, he could drown out the maddening thoughts of Xylene and Mimilia.
