Miles POV
I had hoped to avoid any more interruptions for the day, but when Endrick had shown up unannounced, I knew it was unavoidable, and the fact it was a way of killing something I was not interested in at that particular moment: Laura. I could contain Endrick but not Laura. I’d been expecting this meeting, but I hadn’t anticipated him pushing so hard on something that, honestly, seemed so trivial. Yet, it wasn’t trivial. Nothing with Endrick ever was.
"I know we both discussed an alliance stuff, and I have not forgotten about it. I know what we discussed and the terms and conditions regarding us working together as an alliance." I said after taking a deep shuddering breath.
“Are you sure you’ve forgotten about the dinner I proposed?” Endrick’s voice was almost accusing
