Mile's POV
I noticed Mr. Endrick staring at me for a moment, his gaze sharp and curious. He seemed to have noticed my unease, and it didn’t take long before he asked, "Is something wrong, Miles? Why are you feeling so uneasy, like some kind of discomfort with yourself?" He asked staring at me.
I quickly shook my head, trying to push the feeling away. "No, I’m fine," I replied, though I wasn’t entirely sure that was true. I was not fine at all and telling him otherwise increased the torture administered to me already. Did Laura expect I told him what was going on?
Mr. Endrick took a small step closer, but I instinctively put my hand up, stopping him.
"Please, stay where you are, don't come closer please," I said, my voice more firm than I meant it to be.
