Mile's POV
I felt my patience wearing thin as Laura's questions kept coming, one after another. The tension kept building up between Laura and me as she continued asking about the conversation with Mr.Endrick.
Her voice was sharp, and each question seemed more accusing than the last. I could feel my hands starting to clench as I tried to stay calm. I didn’t want to keep lying to her, but I also didn’t want to get into the whole situation. The truth was too complicated. I needed to get away from this conversation before it went any further.
"Why are you so quiet?" she demanded, crossing her arms. "Why are you avoiding me? Do you plan on taking another woman now that you've pushed Mimilia away?"
