Miles POV
I was still trying to figure out what had just happened. Laura had pulled me out of the restaurant so suddenly, and I couldn’t understand why. I asked her what was going on, but she just told me not to ask and kept her eyes focused ahead like something was wrong.
All I knew was that as soon as as we stepped foot into the restaurant, her eyes went wide but the mistake I made was not tracing her eye level to what she saw, and although she had been fast in gripping my hands and leading me out of the restaurant making it impossible for me to go back in there and search what the problem was.
