Chapter Two - Maggie

1063 Words
I tensed, my heart pounded and my head swam so I couldn't focus on anything he was doing; my vision blurred and he started to look a blurry blue colour around his lips. I lifted my hand to his face and my hand was met with air, I was too far away. The research we'd done into Seer's had only taken us so far, it told us nothing of my extra powers or why I had them and how they worked. We'd come accustomed to severe anxiety causing a change in air pressure but this was the worst it had been; he couldn't breathe which only made the anxiety worse. "Kyle!" I lurched forward and threw my arms around him, sobbing into his chest. He stiffened only briefly before choking in a quick breath and breathing deep and heavy for the next few minutes, his arms wrapped around me and he nuzzled his face in my neck as if my smell helped to calm him.  Once his breathing started to slow and become more regular, I sat up and edged my way off the bed to get a glass of water for him; I crawl back into bed and he sat up too, head back against the wall and eyes closed. "Thanks," he said as I handed him the glass; I gently sit on the bed next to him and sigh. "I... I'm sorry, I didn't, I couldn't," I started to panic again and he lay his hand on my shoulder, shaking his head a little while he breathed deep again. "It's not your fault Maggie, you can't help it." His voice was raspy and shaky. "I need to get it under control," I sobbed, "you could get hurt if this carries on." He tried to shake his head again, "You couldn't breathe, Kyle!" I yell, "You could have died, I could barely see you through the haze. It's getting worse each time and it scares me, it should scare you."  I stand from the bed and pace the room back and forth, arms folded, then unfolded and in the air, then my fingers are curled in my hair, pulling it by the roots; my eyes are blurry again, but with tears this time. I felt my heart pounding again, my throat closing with each sob, then his arms are around me and his lips are at my ear. "Maggie, sh love, sh, we'll figure this out, I promise, I won't let any harm come to you." He soothed into me, I calmed a little and turned to face him, our eyes met and I barely managed to whisper "Kiss me," before his lips were crashing against mine; he picked me up to wrap my legs around his waist, my arms around his neck as I forced my tongue into his mouth. He lay me gently down onto the bed and started to undress the both of us, popping open the buttons on my night shirt; I heard them land on the bedside table and couldn't help but gasp and giggle into him. He kissed me harder, his desire was clear, as was mine. Our bodies moved rhythmically against each other as we made love; he made sure that I came to my c****x first and I called out his name, digging my nails into the back of his shoulders and pulling my hips further up to him, taking him all inside of me. "Baby," he panted, "Maggie, I love you." And with that, he reached his high and rode it out before collapsing next to me, pulling himself closer into me and kissing my head. "Hmm," it was a happy sigh, a calm and content moment that we both shared, "I love you too by the way, and I am sorry. I want us to be together with everything, I don't want to do anything, go anywhere, if you're not with me." I gushed at him and he breathed out a laugh. "Let's just see where we get to by the end of the summer ey? We don't have to decide right now. Right now, I just want to hold you and breathe you in, I'm tired baby, let's sleep." and with that, he kissed me and yawned the biggest yawn, resting his head against mine and then fell asleep in record time. If only. I lay there with him wrapped around me, his gentle snores breathing into my hair and tickling my ear. I whipped out my phone and started to look into the girls who sadly lost their lives to Ashton; their Seer flames extinguished before they could even properly ignite. It made me shudder every time that could have been me. Ashton shot through my mind, his body over mine and his tongue licking my ear breathing his terrible words into me. I cringed back into Kyle and snuggled against him, breathing him in and instantly calming; even when unconscious he could soothe my anxieties. I started to search the poor girls, starting with their closest friends; they seemed to be doing it all a lot better than me; life, until I met Kyle anyway. I wrote myself a note on my phone of each of the girls' most tagged or mentioned friends and decided I'd start there. If they knew about their gifts, they may know of more Seer's. I had to start somewhere and try something; my powers were getting out of hand. I'd somehow managed to manipulate the air and the earth; first with Kevin the cabbie, and then with Kyle in the car, not to mention the waves that had lapped at my feet in the crystal clear and still ocean in Greece. They'd come from nowhere and disappeared as soon as I'd backed off; I wasn't sure if Kyle noticed; if he did he said nothing. The more nervous, anxious or angry I got in a situation, the more the elements bended to my mood; it scared me so much that I feared for my mate, I knew if it continued, I'd have to stay away from him, and that was something neither of us wanted. As if sensing my concern, he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me in closer, kissing me softly whilst still asleep; I finally fell asleep next to him, dreaming of a future we may never reach together.
