Even though they were only eating dry bread and a handful of nuts and berries, Zeb and Flip agreed that they had never eaten anything quite so delicious in their entire lives. Of course, Zeb had been raised on apricot sandwiches and spinach and pineapple muffins, so he didn’t have much to go by. But Flip, whose diet had been somewhat more run of the mill, insisted that food was at least three million per cent more delicious when you ate it immediately after thinking you were going to die.
