"The Zombie's Choice"

The sun was setting on the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the small town of Maplewood. It had been a few weeks since John and his zombie girlfriend, Sarah, had first met. Since then, they had grown close and were now inseparable. John was walking with Sarah through the town square when he noticed something strange. There were two figures standing in the shadows of an alleyway across from them. As they got closer, John could make out that one of them was a zombie and the other was a human. He stopped in his tracks as he realized what this meant - Sarah had to choose between him and her own kind. John looked at Sarah nervously as she stared at both figures for what seemed like an eternity before finally speaking up. "I'm sorry," she said softly to John before turning to face the other zombie in front of her. "I have to go with him." John felt his heart sink as he watched Sarah walk away with her fellow undead companion without so much as a goodbye or explanation for why she chose him over John himself. He wanted to run after her but knew it would be futile - zombies don't change their minds easily once they've made up their minds about something like this. He stood there alone for what felt like hours until finally deciding it was time to go home and try to forget about what just happened - but deep down he knew that would never be possible no matter how hard he tried because no matter how much time passed by or how many miles separated them, his love for Sarah would always remain strong within him forevermore...
