Lacey was dazed when they finally parted from each other. Had Sawyer just told her he loved her? Was she hearing things? Evidently not as she looked at him, his eyes searching hers for an answer, for her to speak, anything as she debated. She'd liked him since he'd stepped in at the diner and now she had to admit she always had, even when he'd blown hot and cold on her.
It was cute the way he bit his lip and fidgeted, looking distinctly uncomfortable as the silence lengthened. She took a chance, hoping he wasn't going to go cold on her again. "I think I'm in love with you too" she admitted "but you're always changing between nice and then being horrible to me, it's confusing Sawyer."
He exhaled in relief. She hadn't laughed his feelings away and he supposed he did owe her an explanation
