Mariela has been sulking in the corner of the BMW ever since they’d gotten in from the airport. Not even first class champagne had cheered her up and Jackson was happy. He enjoyed seeing her suffer. She was upset because he left her in the hotel lobby to sleep with the reservationist and it was worth it. She looked a mess too.
