(Hadeon's POV)
I sat in my office after taking my fourth shot of whisky, hoping to chase my headache away. I've barely gotten any sleep since the rogue attack last night. My mind keeps going back to Janessa. I hate to admit it, but sparring with her quickly turned into the highlight of my day.
On the few days a week that we spar, I find myself thinking about it all day until we finally meet late into the night. Her seductive body is consuming my thoughts and I am ready to tear her little ass up so I can get over these useless feelings and move on. I know once Zeus and I conquer her body she will no longer appeal to us so much. As an Alpha, I do love the chase.
What irks me more than her irresistible body, though, is her views and ideologies. She has been making me think about things I have never thought about before. The look of anger and disgust in her eyes last night did something to me. Yes, I know, she has been looking at me with disgust since we left Blood Moon, but there was something in her disappointment that made me think about a few things.
Things like, should I keep everyone on the lawn? Maybe we could build a few huts for the Warriors and Omegas to stay in, temporarily. I also need to reevaluate our security and patrols. There was no reason rogues made it that far onto my pack lands unnoticed. That is unacceptable. I guess I was so hung up on thinking we were the scariest pack around I never thought rogues would actually have the balls to trespass.
Janessa's angry face popped into my mind and I signed in defeat. I hate thinking about that look in her eyes. Our training together the last few weeks almost made me think she didn't completely hate me anymore, but that look in her eyes last night let me know otherwise. Not that I care how she feels about me. I will conquer her body soon. I can feel it, then she will be my little puppet to do as I see fit, even baring me Alpha pups one day.
I heard two fists pound on my desk in front of me, pulling me from my reverie. I growled out of instinct and looked into the hateful eyes of my father. "You're not even listening, boy!" my father roared in disgust. I sighed, knowing it was best to keep quiet and let him finish.
"Ever since you brought that blessed wolf into this pack you have been losing focus! That is why I requested the White Wolf from the beginning, yet you brought home the Crimson Wolf. She's still a pup, and look at you running around trying to chase some tail! You've let her work around the house as an Omega, completely against my wishes. Do you not see how dangerous that is? Now you get distracted and rogues attack while you are playing footsies with the red b***h in the woods!" My father spat and Zeus and I instinctively growled at the way he was speaking of Jenessa.
My father looked at me incredulously before a look of disgust appeared on his face. "So, you're f*****g the Crimson Wolf right before she will be sent to slaughter? Did you think that all the way through? Will you be able to give her up next month for the sacrifice? This is what you have been training for your entire life. Will you let some p***y ruin that for us?" my father questioned me.
Zeus growled viciously in my mind at the thought of his mate being sacrificed. I, on the other hand, knew my father had a point. I've worked hard to build my pack as the biggest and fiercest on this continent, I can't let some female rip that away, mate or not. I could feel Zeus becoming agitated at the thought of sacrificing his mate. I must admit it didn't make me feel that great either, but I can't reveal that to my father. Especially when he is so pissed off.
"I want that little b***h locked back in the dungeons before she escapes! We have just over a month until the Death Moon, we can't afford to f**k it up now!" my father bellowed. I knew he was angry because of the vein that was popping out of his forehead, but I knew Zeus would never allow me to put her back in the dungeons. Maybe I could lock her back in the room? I have to find a happy medium so my father isn't running on a rampage through the house.
"I'll find this little b***h and drag her back to the dungeons myself!" my father stated as he made his way toward the door. "Stop! The Crimson Wolf will not be going to the dungeons and no harm will come to her before the Death Moon!" Zeus commanded before I got the chance to react. I have NEVER once in my life used my Alpha command on my father and the look of betrayal in his eyes said it all. He growled at me in disgust before he exited my office, slamming the door behind him.
"Alpha, with all due respect, you are letting some she-b***h get your head out of the game. Our parents' parents have worked hard for this moment. Let's not squander it over some b***h," Rick, my Beta, exclaimed. At this point, I was running low on patience. "Rick, get the f**k out!" I commanded before he quickly ran out of my office.
I sat in silence for a few moments before I acknowledged the last pair of eyes burning into me. "Well, spit it out," I stated to my Gamma. "What?" he questioned in feigned confusion. "You know what. I'm sure you have an opinion just like everyone else," I stated to my cousin. "If I didn't know any better, I would say... never mind," Lucas stated while standing up to leave my office.
"What?!" I questioned him, becoming impatient. There weren't too many opinions I truly cared about, but his was one of them. "I don't know, cuz, just be careful and be smart. I think there is more to Little Miss Red than meets the eye. Don't let anyone force you into anything that doesn't feel right," he finally stated.
"Force me? I am a grown-ass wolf and an Alpha at that! No one can FORCE me to do anything!" I all but laughed at Lucas's statement. "Okay, just be smart," Lucas stated with a shoulder shrug before he exited my office, finally leaving me alone with my thoughts.
_______________________
It had been a few days since the rogue attack and I am pretty sure Janessa has been avoiding me. I have seen her a few times throughout the packhouse, but she quickly disappears. Currently, I am on my way to her room. She didn't show up to our training tonight and it has Zeus on edge. It has been too long since we have felt her soft skin in our rough hands. I had decided that tonight was the night I would make her body mine!
I stormed through the house coming from our training site. I was pissed that she hadn't shown up for sparring. I all but ran up to the Alpha's floor and sped down the hall. I began to knock hard on her bedroom door, which had been replaced after my earlier outburst. I could smell her in there, but she was taking her sweet time opening the door. I could go get the key but, "open this damn door before I rip it off its hinges, and this time I will not be replacing it!" I shouted as I banged on her door for the third time.
I heard shuffling on the other side of the door before Janessa cracked it open for me. I used force and pushed her door open and entered her room. "Rude!" she shouted as she stared at me in disbelief. I looked around the room rapidly as if I would catch someone hiding in there.
"Why didn't you meet me for training?" I growled immediately. "Honestly? Because you're an i***t and I've been trying to avoid you," Janessa stated bluntly. I could feel myself losing bits of control to Zeus and I tried my best to hold it together. "Watch your mouth when you speak to me," I growled as I took menacing steps toward her.
Her scent calmed me yet drove me mad at the same time. The laugh that escaped her lips did nothing but piss me off, it was condescending and I didn't appreciate it. "Do you truly think you scare me, Demon Wolf?" she asked as she took a threatening step toward me. We were now almost chest-to-chest.
Zeus whimpered in my mind. He hated that she hated him and he wanted to do anything in his power to make her want him. I, on the other hand, wanted to make her bow at our feet. She was a female and my mate at that, it shouldn't be this hard to make her do as we wish. I know once I give her this long d**k, she will be begging for my attention.
"You don't have to fear me, but you will respect me," I growled lowly into her ear. I noticed her body shiver at my voice and I instinctively wrapped my arm around her waist to pull her close. "Just because my body responds to you doesn't mean I don't hate you," she spat, but all I noticed was how her hardened n*****s were poking through her thin nightgown.
"I don't care if you hate me, but let me take care of your body. It's screaming my name and I have been dying to answer," I whispered, lost in her heavenly scent and touch. I wanted, no I needed her badly, just a quick conquest so she can stop consuming my thoughts. "I would never give my body to a sorry excuse of an Alpha like you," she gritted out, trying hard to fight her innate desires.
I smirked as I began to place sloppy kisses down her neck and collarbone. Her mouth was telling me, no, but her body was telling me yes. "What can we do to make her love us?" Zeus panted in my mind. Who cares about love, but it was a good question. If I can make her fall for me, surely I can get in her pants and make her bend to my will.
"What can I do to make you want me?" I asked while still kissing her exposed skin. The fire igniting between us was beginning to leave me lightheaded. "You don't truly care," Janessa scoffed. I pulled back and looked into those swirling hazel eyes. I felt like I could get lost in them and my lips began to move on their own accord. "Within reason, I will do something to make you happy if it means getting closer to you," I stated, shocked at myself for somewhat meaning it.
"Really?" she asked me with a bit of apprehension. I nodded my head yes. "How about you start by building houses for all your pack members? It is deplorable the way everyone is living here," she said while never breaking eye contact. I rolled my eyes at her optimism. Here she goes trying to make the world a better place. Even though her request was slightly annoying, Zeus was completely turned on by her proposition.
"Okay, I agree to build a few houses and you will give me some p***y?" I asked, hopefully. She scoffed and pushed herself out of my arms. "Seriously? You are trying to destroy the world and all you can think about is s*x?" she asked in disbelief. "I am not trying to destroy the world! We are going to make it a better place! There are too many beings out here who have ruined the natural order of things, and we are here to put them back into place. Now, again, if I build some houses you will give me some p***y?" I asked once again.
She scoffed in disgust. "Unbelievable. Let me make myself clear, I don't care how my wolf feels, I would NEVER let you touch me with a ten-foot pole," she spat. "What about a ten-inch pole?" I retorted with a smirk. "This is not how you woo a woman!" she exclaimed. "Then teach me," I said in all honesty. Most females would have long thrown themselves at my feet so I am at a loss here. I want to know what will make her give herself to me. "You can not fill a cup that is already full," she spat while staring at me challengingly in my eyes.
Janessa and I stared at each other for a few moments, neither of us speaking. She finally sighed and asked, "can you just leave, please? We will never be on the same page." She's kicking me out? I felt like a dog looking for a bone. I had convinced myself tonight she would give herself to me and now I was almost desperate for just a little attention. Something!
"I mean it," I finally said. "You mean what?' she asked in confusion. "Teach me how to woo a woman. Or at least a sexy, Alpha female," I responded with a cheeky smirk, but she rolled her eyes. "You couldn't handle it, and I promise you couldn't woo me anyway. You're too... you," she responded while gesturing to all of me.
"Try me? What's the worst that could happen? You fall hopelessly in love?" I asked her. She laughed. It was an uncontrollable laugh that left tears in her eyes. "You really are stupid, aren't you?" she finally asked after her laughter settled down. I didn't respond because I didn't like her tone of voice. She thought she was better than me, and I couldn't wait to knock her down a few pegs.
Janessa looked at me a little longer before saying, "Okay, I will make a deal with you. How about you began building houses for your pack members, and once they are built I will let you take me on one date?" she responded, almost as if she knew I wouldn't do it. She was almost right, but I wanted to see how far I could take this.
"How about I counteroffer? I am a wolf of my word, and I vow to begin building houses, but you must go on a date with me first. We can discuss the plans and contracts then. Since you seem to have all these great ideas, it would be a shame if you didn't take part in the process," I replied.
She looked me up and down skeptically for a few moments before responding, "If you take me on a date and don't follow through with your end of the bargain, that will be the first and last date you will ever have with me," she gritted out. "As I said, I am a wolf of my word, " I replied smugly.
"Ugh, fine! I know I am going to regret this, but... deal!" she exclaimed as she put her hand out for me to shake. I took it quickly, without thinking, relishing in the sparks that erupted. I smiled at my small accomplishment on my conquest to dominating the Crimson Wolf. She has no idea what she's getting herself into. I squeezed her hand slightly before replying, "deal!"
