EARLY THE NEXT MORNING...................................
Miller woke up early and ordered breakfast of bulgogi fried rice and soup dumplings from the nearest restaurant to their house.
He prepared the table and awaited the delivery before going further to wake his stressed out brother who was still asleep because of the tiresome journey he had the previous day.
On getting to the table and seeing the meals his brother prepared, William exclaimed "Wow, you are acting all responsible today man, I'm impressed."
Miller ignored his comments and just offered him a sit before serving his meal.
"So what have you been up to for the past few days that you've been here." William asked as he swallowed the first lump of his food.
Miller sighed, "I've been trying to gun-down some arms dealer."
"Who else work while on suspension except my very own brother. It's not like you are going to get paid for it." William lamented.
"Well, you know am not working for the money." Miller corrected.
William yawning, "Whatever, so how has been the pursuit".
"Bad! I discovered that the FBI have been on her case for up to two years now. Miller exclaimed.
"Wow, so you mean a girl has been the one running out all the fierce FBI agents?" William mocked.
"Well I know she is stro.....ng and sma....rt, bu........t am sure she've got a strong back up." Miller defended. They soon finished their meal because they never stopped eating as they discussed.
William stood up to clear the plate. "So what are you going to do about it now."
Miller rubbed his palm roughly on his face. "Hmmmm, am on suspension and the case is not even for my team so I guess I'm not going to do anything about it." He sighed.
Walking towards the kitchen William said, "oho...........when did you start giving up, am sure you are only hiding the process from me. I very well know you won't give up so easily. Anyway, you sure do have a boring life. Am here now anyway, so am going to lighten it up a bit."
"tsh....What are you talking about." Miller muttered. "When exactly are you leaving." He asked.
"I planned to spend a week here so it would be exactly six days from now since you already wasted a day."
"Why did you have to come if you are not going to stay for long." Miller said, looking disappointed.
Trying to cheer him up, William said, "Just to make sure you are okay, but not to worry, I will be coming back on your last day here so as to drive you home."
"Whatever, I don't need a driver, I need a roommate." Miller hissed.
"Get a girl, she would even become your bedmate." William whispered. Go and get dressed let's go find you one." William continued.
"I don't need any, let's just go have some fun." Miller said while walking to his room.
"Girls are part of fun you know." William exclaimed. "Where would you like to visit for today." William asked.
"Well there would be a historic tour at Haunted Eureka Spring today, so I guess we should be there". Miller suggested.
"I hope they would be some ladies over there who would love a little bit of adventure." William sighed.
Miller smirked at him. "It's all good you already know my style and I guess you might be the one to sink the earth today with that sigh of yours." Miller mocked.
William threw the empty bottle he had on his hand at Miller and ran off to his room before Miller could retaliate. "Be fast about getting dressed." William warned as he ran off.
They both drove out of the compound with William's White Lexus and drove into the road leading to the Haunted Spring.
“For the past few days we've been doing things your way so today we are going to be doing things my way." William fired at Miller who has been busy choosing to visit place that involves only mystery and learning.
"Ok sir." Miller agreed as he laughed at William's angry and funny look while he was damn pissed off.
"We would be going to Escape Room 13 Club house today not the ADVENTURE center." William lamented.
"That means we would be going out at night, so how are we going to spend the day?" Miller curiously asked.
Getting into the car, William said, "We are going to W 14th Street."
"For what?" Miller exclaimed.
"A friend of mine lives there, so we are going for a quick visit since I would be leaving Eureka by tomorrow." William replied.
"Ok I get it." Miller said, frowning as he thought of how lonely the house is going to be once William leaves for Henderson.
William tried to cheer him up as they both drove away in Miller's golden coloured Ford.
At exactly 7:00pm in the evening, Miller and William drove from W 14th Street down to Escape Room 13 Club house which was located in Historic District.
William ushered Miller to an empty seat at one corner of the busy club and ordered for a bottle of Cognac and two tumblers.
"She doesn't seem like a nice girl you know." William said to Miller as he noticed that he had a sly smile on his face and his gaze rested on lady wearing a red cashmere turtle neck and a black Italian knee-high boot. "She seem like a warlord." He mocked at the girl who was busy having a fierce arm wrestling tournament with some guys at the other corner of the Clubhouse.
"I know right?" Miller said, not referring to no one in particular.
"But you still want to talk with her. Do you want me to make her walk up to us?" William asked.
"Let me see you try." Miller said, trying to conceal the laughter that was welling up inside him.
