A Night With You

Chapter 7

After Anastasia left Jared's room, she went to have breakfast. The food on the table could feed a family of six. There was an array of dishes ranging from scrambled eggs, toast, french toast, sandwiches, doughnuts, fruits, pancakes and different types of syrups.

" Stella this is a whole lot, are we expecting visitors " Anastasia asked as she's a tad bit flustered with the quantity of food on the dining table.

" No miss, it's just for you and Mr Jared, I didn't know your favorite so I did a little of everything" Stella explained.

" Thanks so much, but this is way too much, I am not a picky eater so anything you make will definitely work for me, you really don't have to make all this next time, have you eaten yet Stella " Anastasia clarified and asked.

" Not yet miss "

" Perfect, join me " Anastasia said whilst pointing to a chair.

" No miss, I don't think that's allowed, " Stella said, trying to get out of eating with her.

" I wasn't asking Stella, I don't like eating alone."

After breakfast, Anastasia went back to her room and decided to give Chloe a call, Chloe immediately picked her call, almost like she was expecting it.

" I am so glad you are okay Anastasia " Chloe said when she heard Anastasia's voice

" Me too, my dad let you go right " Anastasia asked wanting to confirm if her dad was true to his words.

" Yes I went back home immediately after the party, " Chloe said.

" That's such a relief, I am glad you are fine, " Anastasia said again.

" How is everything over there ?" Chloe asked concern lacing her voice

" Well it's okay, the house is beautiful but I am so bored and Jared said we are going on honeymoon today "

" Honeymoon, what for ?" Chloe asked, sounding flustered.

" I guess for appearance, I don't even know when we will return, I don't want his type of life Chloe, I want my freedom " Anastasia lamented

" It's okay Ana, I am so sure you will figure something out, just take it easy and take care of yourself " Chloe said

After the call Anastasia picked up her favorite gift and flipped through the pages to see the different recipes in it. Anastasia noticed some of her childhood favorites and she made a mental note to try and make it when she returns from the honeymoon.

The rest of the day went by in a blur, with Anastasia taking a nap until there was a knock on her door.

" Come in " Anastasia said with a groggy voice

Jared came in and she was stunned to see that it was him, she sat up and gave him her attention.

" What do you want?" she asked in a tired voice like he was stressing her

" It's time for us to leave " he said nonchalantly while reclining on the door frame

" Where exactly are we going? "

" Paris, the city of love " he said with an obnoxious smirk and Anastasia scoffed

" Whatever, give me a few minutes, I will be out soon " she said dismissing him

" Make it snappy ."

Anastasia upped and went to the bathroom to freshen up a little. She changed her clothes to something more appropriate and she joined him in the living room, not long after that they went to the car where the chauffeur was waiting to take them to the airport.

Conversely, Derek was ecstatic as he drove Gina to the airport, he was stoked to be getting rid of her, Derek didn't enjoy spending the weekend with her, she was always popping out from places and so all over him.

Usually Derek would have been okay with that but not this weekend, his senses were more preoccupied with Anastasia's thoughts now that he knows her more and where she is.

The only thing Derek couldn't comprehend is why he always loses people he loves to Jared just like what happened with Gina , although when Jared was interested in Gina , he backed down cause he lost interest in her the moment he realized they were seei6 each other.

But not this time, Derek has no plans of backing down for Jared again especially now that Anastasia is involved, I mean... Derek gave up on love when Gina broke his heart and became a full time lothario but somehow meeting Anastasia was able to change that.

So he'll no, Derek will not entertain the thought of losing Anastasia, she disappeared on him once and now that he found her, he will do his damnedest to keep her forever.

" I know you are missing me already, I am Missing you too but don't worry I will be back as soon as I can " Gina said interrupting Derek's thought.

" Oh no don't fret about that, take your time, I will be very busy too so don't bother rushing over besides we are no longer in a relationship " Derek said clearing the air.

" Come on Derek, I thought we have moved past that, we are good together plus I love you and I am really sorry for hurting you in the past " Gina said with a soft voice.

" It's fine and I have forgiven you but I don't really need a relationship right now " he clarified

" Okay I will give you time to think about it and we will talk about it when I return " Gina said when Derek parked at the airport

" Alright, take care of yourself " he said hurriedly, not wanting her in the car longer than necessary.

" Okay take care, I love you " Gina said as she pulled Derek in for a hug.

However, Anastasia was having the most abysmal honeymoon ever in the history of honeymoons, they were lodged in a fancy five star hotel with state of the art facilities, her suite was large and very beautiful, she had nothing to do other than order for food and go to the pool in the evenings in her sexy swimsuit.

Sometimes she goes out for a stroll and sight seeing other than that she's always in her suit.

Anastasia was in her room looking for a swimsuit to wear this Evening when a knock sounded on the door.

" Come in " she said after she decided on the one to wear, Jared strolled into her room which was a surprise as they haven't seen each other since they lodged five days ago.

" What do you want? " she asked rudely when she saw him.

" We need to take some honeymoon pictures " Jared said surprising Anastasia

" Very funny, pictures indeed " Anastasia said while laughing

" Look I don't want to take pictures too but my parents called and said we need to take pictures on our honeymoon trip and show we are having fun so that it can be more convincing... So we don't really have another alternative.

" Whatever, so what's the plan " she asked while taking a seat on her bed

" Wear something nice then we will go out and try to have fun and then we will take pictures ".

" I always wear nice things, " she countered.

" Whatever Anabelle, I will be back in an hour " he said as he turned around to leave.

" It's Anastasia you fool " she said as he stepped out utterly ignoring her.

Anastasia starts looking for something to wear that is befitting for a date even though it's only for pictures, Anastasia is practically counting down to when she will return home so she can have her life back, she has missed hanging out with Chloe and Leonel.

Anastasia took a quick shower and dressed in a black elegant sleeveless turtleneck wrap dress that has a long slit on the left leg , Anastasia was looking so gorgeous in the wrap dress, it flatters her figure perfectly and she paired it with a nude Zara padded sole, square toes, strappy stiletto heels and matching clutch.

Anastasia was checking herself out in the mirror when Jared opened the door without knocking.

" You look great " Jared complimented after he entered Anastasia's room

" Thank you, you look nice too but you should have knocked ."

" Okay, I know you don't like me, and frankly I am not a fan of you either but can we at least be cordial with each other tonight so that we can maybe have some fun... Let's not do the whole hanging out and picture thing like it's a job " Jared said trying to reason with Anastasia.

" Fine, I can do that " she said with a small smile

" Alright then let's go " he said while ushering her to the door with his hand in the small of her back, once again... His touch didn't make me shiver like how Derek's hand did.

" So who is going to take the pictures " she asked as he led her to the car

" Peter will do that, just ignore him and we can also do it ourselves if we feel like it, " he said, referring to one of the securities that came with them.
