The party - Cygnus

Things were more complicated than we had hoped. The one we were sure was our mate had gotten upset over something and when it was finally confirmed that she was our mate she was fighting her wolf for control, exclaiming about some promise when she claimed she wanted to refuse the bond.

We had yet to share our names, but it seemed that her wolf's name might be Aria? my wolf perked up his ears in the depths of my mind and wagged his tail, he was so happy just learning her name even if he also was upset that the human part of her didn't seem to want anything to do with us.

My heart ached at the thought of her possibly rejecting us. Right now, she wasn't in a good state of mind. What in the world happened to her mother that she would say that she didn't want the mate bond.

After she fainted, I was quick to rush back inside. Amy brothers questioned me through the mind link, but all they needed to know was that I was going to get help. Looking for the ladies from earlier, I found the one that had tried to comfort our woman the most.

"What pack are you from?" I asked, skipping formalities and seeing the woman before me practically melt at the sight of me. "Please, the one you were comforting earlier, I need to find her Luna or Alpha."

The woman shook herself out of the daze she was in and gave me a questioning look. "Why should I tell you? Weren’t you just with her... sir?"

I sighed, trying not to get angry, pushing back the threatening aura that wanted to be released so badly. Though I couldn't hold back the growl that slipped out. She flinched a bit and backed away from me.

"Making me fear you isn't going to give you the answers you want. Sir." She growled back at me once she regained her composure. "What did you do to Gaia? Where is she?."

I sighed and rubbed a hand down my face before replying in a low voice so others wouldn't hear. "Gaia... she is... the mate of my brothers and I."

Her eyes went wide like she couldn't believe it. Her eyes darted to the floor. "I.. I am sorry.. she must have upset you.. we.. uhm.. I, Lily of the New Moon Pack, apologize. If there is anything we can do to make it...."

I cut her off, "Stop, she passed out from the stress of fighting with her wolf. I needed to know her name and Pack so some matters could be settled. We, as her mates, just want her to be safe. Would you be able to guide us to her room so she can get some proper rest?"

Lily looked at me as she seemed to finally process what I said. Shock on her face. "Gaia.. she must be so lost.." She saw my confused look, and she covered her mouth as if she had said too much. "We... can help you get her to her room to rest. Please rest assured that I will also get our Alpha and Luna for you."

She turned towards a woman behind her and asked her to follow me to Gaia so she could be taken to rest and then went off to find her Alpha and Luna in this massive crowd.tm the more things I was hearing, the more I was concerned for Gaia, my.. our mate. It seemed that her Pack knew something about whaly she would act as she had. Maybe we could get some light shed on the situation soon. As I led the new lady to Gaia, I felt so tired. I hoped beyond hope that we could convince her that whatever happened in her past didn't matter now that we were here.
