Longing: -noun  a yearning desire Previously;  "She was always an intuitive woman," Nan scoffed, before turning her gaze back towards the boys in front of her. "Find my little Ella, Jake." She practically pleaded, surprise hit once again as his name left her mouth.  Maybe she wasn't just the town crazy. "Bring her home."  As the mood changed with her plea, turning tense as he Jake simply just nodded, Max couldn't stand the feel in the room. Bouncing up from his seat, he suddenly blurted,  "So where's that leaky pipe, Jake and I can fix it."   Nan grinned, allowing the tension to disperse, smiling at Max's liveliness, of course she wanted to beg Jake to find the girl she considered her grandbaby, but she knew he would- it was simply his fate.  "It's right down the hall, the room to your left- it's my main bathroom," She replied softly, gesturing down her main hall, "Tools will be right there as you open the cabinet under the sink, hopefully the leak hasn't rusted them."  _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ella's POV Ella's tired eyes rested on the tv in front of her, she felt like she hadn't slept properly in ages though truthfully it had only been a day or so, she groaned- bringing her hands up to rub her temples as he shut her eyes slightly.  Her head pounded at the last bit of daylight shown directly on the floor in front of her, making the room just a tad bit brighter than her ideal right now would be. The only comfort she had was the soft purrs Salem made as he crawled into her lap, rubbing her head against her chest as if she attempted to distract her from the pulsating in her head.  ~Brrr~  The small cat hummed, "Ahh, Sai.." Ella softly sighed as she gently scratched and stroked her fur baby's head, "I need sleep, but god..." She groaned, laying her head back on the couch for a split second before cradling Salem in her arms as she laid down. "..I know you can't truly understand a word I say.." Ella added, her voice sort of muted as she kind of wished she lived in one of those fairytales in which your pets talked back to you- being alone was tough in moments like these. But she continued, "I know you can't understand a word I say, but every time I shut my eyes I keep seeing this guy- he's handsome and seems to be so loving towards me and these kids that we seem to have together..."  Sighing, she turned to her side, keeping her cat close to her chest, "It feels like I know him- or I'm supposed to at least, but I know I don't." She yawned, closing her eyes just to rest them for a bit, "I don't understand any of it.." She murmured before quickly drifting off as Salem's purrs were like a sleep-inducing lullaby.  ____ "El!" A masculine voice called to her, it was the same man she had been dreaming about for days. He sounded frantic? Afraid almost? as the sound off rustling leaves and snapping twigs drew near. "Jake, we can't find her anywhere." Another manly voice emanated as however many men rushed to him. "We can't find Ella. We've searched everywhere."  An angry growl radiated throughout the wooded area, startling Ella as the trees seemed to shake as his frustrated rumbling slowed then stopped, "Find my f*****g wife, Mark. We need to find my Luna." His tone was littered with worry as the frantic footsteps of the men scattered.  She didn't understand the situation or whatever type of dream or message this may be, but she felt the need to call out to him, to help him find her as her heart yearned to feel that safety in his arms, even though she knew she could wake and it would all be over and done with at any moment.  "Baby!!" She practically screamed, for some reason tears flooded down her face as she suddenly felt a surge of anxiety as her need to be found heightened. "Baby I'm here!!"  "Baby!! Jake!! I'm right here!! I'm right here!!"  _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Jake's POV  Jake's heart dropped as he was shaken by the needy, yet anxiety ridden words, "Baby!! Jake!! I'm right here!! I'm right here!!" Her voice.. Was that Lost Girl... What the fuck... Tears threatened his waterline as he hopped out of bed, not caring that he was still just in his boxers, as he called out for his parents while barreling towards their room.  "Mom! Dad!" He yelled, causing them to rush out of their room.  "What! What is it???" Eva frantically shouted, tightly embracing her son as he practically ran into her arms, the tears that threatened to release before trickling out onto his mom's shoulder.  "Jake.." She murmured, as Charlie stood there silent half because he was unsure on how to comfort his crying son and half because his brain still hadn't came out of the fog of his sleep.  "What happened Jake?" His mom spoke softly as he brushed her fingertips up and down her son's back as his crying slowly came to a halt.  Slowly, Jake came out of Eva's embrace, looking down at her then at his dad, his eyes were reddened as was his nose- his cheeks flushed a deep rose, as he sighed- shaking his head.  They were asking what had happened, yet not even he fully understood it. He'd never heard someone voice without actually being around them- let alone hear someone that he had absolutely no clue who she was. Yet, he'd never felt this ache he felt before, this longing in his chest that pained him in a way- hearing the stranger, the girl cry out for him; begging to be found by him, her voice riddled with pain and anxiety, shook him to his core. He didn't know what he had been dreaming of beforehand, after hearing her plea his mind went blank.  "Jake, honey, talk to us.." Eva pleaded, gently grasping his forearms- giving him a small shake, knocking him out of his head.  "I think I heard her voice.." He finally replied, though it was vague.  Practically dragging him into their bedroom- the three sat, as Jake sighed, "You heard who? Your Luna?" Charlie finally spoke up.  Jake nodded, then shook his head after- still obviously confused, "I think so, yet I don't know.. I feel so confused." He added, "But the pain I feel in my chest.. I just know it was her."  Eva sighed sympathetically, she knew if he didn't find her sooner rather than later, his inner wolf was going to always feel this lost longing suffering. "What did she say, son?"  "She called me baby.." Jake chuckled slightly, the thought of his perfect wife calling him such a soft petname warmed his heart, ".. and she was begging for me- she kept saying 'I'm here!! I'm here!!' she sounded so alone and afraid, I want to just say it was a dumb dream, but I don't even know what I was dreaming about before hearing her.." He admitted, sighing once more, "I need to find her.. I don't want to sleep until I do, yet I don't even know where to look." Charlie sighed, looking over his concerned wife as his tired gaze landed on his distraught son, "You already know more than you did just a few hours ago. You know what she sounds like now-" He bluntly replied, keeping his Alpha persona strong, "Now, you need to visit the Crone, whatever you were dreaming about is going to be your biggest clue about where to start your search."  Jake blankly stared down at the floor as he raked his fingers through his hair, looking even more disheveled that he just had, "You're- You're right.." He muttered, immediately standing from his spot on the bed and rushing back down the hall- slamming the door as he entered the room. "I need to go. I need to find her." He continued to mutter to himself as he threw on clothes randomly, while his parents stood outside his door.  Eva knocked, "I know you want to find her, but you're frantic and anxious Jake. You can't drive in that state." She said, gazing up at Charlie as he shook his head. "You could crash or get lost."  With silence from Jake, Charlie grasped his wife's hand, pulling her aside. "Let him go, darling" He said, rubbing his fingertips sweetly along her inner wrists, "He needs to find her, you know that- let him go while the memory his fresh in his mind."  Before she could answer, Jake barreled out of his room, "Don't worry.." He hummed without making eye contact with either of them, "I already called Max. He's driving... I just need to find her. Everything is just starting to hurt- in here." He tapped the right side of his chest as those tears teased his waterline again. "I think it's my wolf, but I'm not sure- but I think he hurts without her.." To Be Continued...
