Eva's POV Lucas got up from the floor. Dusting his pants off, he walked to the door to shut it. "No one's really going to barge in, Lucas," I said. "You have no idea how nosy my brothers are." He replied, I smirked at him. The tension in the room was undeniable. Lucas was breathing hard. His heartbeat was heard aloud. I wasn't looking forward to anything in particular. I have accepted my position here. Some come with pros and cons. Being their mate is both, pros and cons. Well, I watched Lucas pop in a candy or two. He sucked on the chocolate until he reached the core of it, a roasted hazelnut. "I don't like nuts as much," Lucas said, as a matter of fact. How was I supposed to know that it was his strategy because, "I do. I love nuts." I replied innocently.
