Chapter one

"Luca, could you come here for a moment?" I saw our alpha, Alpha Jacob, standing outside of the door to my office. I smiled sweetly and nodded as i stood up from my seat. everyone knew better then to defy any Alpha unless they tried to steal your mate, show weakness, or harm an innocent pack member, then anyone who thinks they are strong enough are free to challenge the current Alpha for the position. Jacob and I have been best friends since we were able to walk and talk, so only when we were about 4 or 6 months old. he is only 2 months older than me so we got along quickly and effortlessly. Jacob pulled me into his study, a smile on his face. seeing him as happy as he was currently made me beam. as soon as he shut the door I looked at him. "What is it Alpha?" I asked. He was the only one in the pack besides my family to know I was gay. He had told me he was and always will be, even if I had a crush on him for a few years now, I was to afraid to tell him.he began walking closer and closer to me, soon invading my space my cheeks grew red, I backed up, he stepped closer. This went on for a moment before I hit his desk, he continued to come near, I panicked, sure my face was red. he had a devilish smirk on his gorgeous face as he placed his hands on either side of me, his palms on his desk, his face near mine. "W-What are you d-doing alpha" I questioned, avoiding eye contact with his dark green eyes at all costs "I know you like me, Luca~" he whispered in my ear, I could feel his soft blond hair against my cheek and again I panicked. "And I'm willing to try a relationship with you~" he whispered even softer. My eyes were like saucers at this point. I stood there unable to think until he suddenly planted a light, but passionate kiss on my lips. when he pulled away there was a knock on the door, followed by a low growl. Jacob pulled away from me and i stood up right. he tossed me a water bottle to help me cool off "Come in" he said in his usual kind but rough voice that could melt anyone's heart. The door opened and behind it stood the Alpha everyone knew, Alpha Devin Clement. He had raven black hair, and hazelnut colored eyes. He had indescribable facial features and a toned body structure. I felt a beating in my chest, and an amazing scent coming from him. He smelled of strawberries and vanilla. He was in a grey T-shirt that clung to him, it was hard for him to go unnoticed. I then heard my wolf 'Luca, that's our mate' that made my stomach do flips. I couldn't believe what I had just heard.
