I stopped wiggling out of my binds and breathed through my nose, maybe she will leave me alone. I pretended not to notice this woman’s advances on me. The urge from my bladder made it even worse. I hope my bladder can hold out longer. She took off the cloth that covered my mouth.
“I can smell your stress, do you want me to massage your back?”
“D-do not touch me!”
“Ah, but I’m good at massages. Come, let us relieve your stress.”
“I-I do not want to be relieved!” The walls of my bladder kept reminding of its demands.
“Does it hurt here?” She placed her fingers around my chest, close to my n*****s. An electric surge rushed to my brain.
“Hngh, stop it!” I felt my face flush.
“Ah, what is this? Little Luke must be really stressed. I must have hit the sore spot.”
“Please, Your Highness, don’t. Ah!” I cried as she circled her fingers around. I suddenly do not feel like peeing anymore.
“There, who is a good boy?” She removed my blinds.
“You are sick, Your Majesty. Do you know that?”
“I’m not sick, I just had my meds.”
“It does not seem like it to me. Can you please unbind my hands?”
“You have not answered my question yet. Who is a good boy?” She had all her fingers flitting with my chest. My torso hopped multiple times.
“N-no, please… Have mercy on me.”
“Who is a good boy? I can’t hear you!” She pinched my chest.
“Ahh! I am! I am! Ooh… p-please stop…,” my voice cracked under my breath.
“Okay,” she removed her heavy baggage from my chest. “Are you sure you don’t want—.”
“Yeah, I’m sure,” my heart pulsed every half second. “Can you untie me, Your Highness? Please, I am begging you.”
“I do not like seeing you stressed. Oh well, but promise me not tell anyone about this.”
“I promise,” the warmth in my eyes reached hers.
“Th-there, all done,” her face flushed bright red. “You should go now before anyone notices. There is a slightly discolored set of bricks behind my bed that leads to the other walls.”
“What about you, Your Highness? Don’t you want to escape this prison?”
“Are you crazy? I love it here! They feed me lots and lots of food and they always bring me the finest wine in all Draconia. I could not ask for anything more unless you want to stay here with me. I could massage you until you are satisfied.”
“N-no thanks. I must be on my way now. Thank you, Your Highness,” I disassembled the bricks.
“I will see you soon, Luke. Luke? Who is that? Is that something you eat? Oh, well,” she began counting her fingers, unable to proceed from one.
I lightly placed the bricks back. Beams of yellow and white rotated clockwise and counterclockwise at eight points of the stronghold. Some guards roamed the spots not accessible by the light. I leaned against the wall and walked sideways like a crab.
My feet almost stepped on the round edges of light. I saw an opening about ten steps away from here. I think I can make it there in time. One guard had its back on me. I waited for the light to face the opposite direction. Then I lifted my feet towards the opening.
“Dang it, it’s covered by glass! Very well played,” I sighed at the blockage.
I grabbed a flat stone from the grassy dirt. Suddenly, the guard faced my direction. Before he could open his mouth, I bashed his face with a rock.
“Sorry buddy, I did not want to resort to this,” my eyes looked away as I undressed the unconscious man. I pulled him beyond the reaches of light and we swapped clothes. I called the attention of another guard about what happened while obscuring my face. He called the others, but I declined to join them.
“Hey, I will catch up. I got to report this to the captain,” I patted him.
“You sure sound funny. Having heartburns again?” He chuckled.
“Yeah, it hit me pretty bad today,” I cleared my throat.
“Okay, you must hurry to the captain’s office. Hey, that is not the way to his office. What are doing?”
“Ah, I knew it. Thanks for reminding me,” I immediately turned to the other path.
“Keep your head with you,” he squeezed my shoulders.
I nodded in reply. Finally, the entrance was only a few steps away. Suddenly, an old man with hands on his pommel blocked my path. My nerves pulsed. Beads of sweat rolled like water down my chin.
“Where are you going, pawn?” He asked.
I deepened my voice, “Excuse me sir, but there has been a reported escapee from the chambers. I know he could not have gone far. I was tasked by my colleagues to report this to you, captain.”
“Is that so? Why are you dripping sweat?”
“Ah, it’s because I have been out chasing him, captain. My legs pushed beyond my limits. That man was a sly one.”
“When did this happen?”
“Just now, captain.”
“Alright, I must inform the king. You can return to your colleagues now, pawn.”
“Thank you, captain.”
“Oh, one more thing. Can you please tell the queen to come out of her room?”
“Uh, what is the reason for letting her out, captain?”
“You do not want to know. I will be off now.”
“Sure, captain.”
“Dismissed.”
Why on earth would he want to let the queen out of her room? My feet wobbled at the thought of wanting to go back there. I ran back into the darkness and waited for him to clear the scene. I crept towards the gate. Yes, I am so close to freedom!
“Hold your saddles there, pawn. Where do you think you are going?”
“Ah, c-captain. I was just checking the perimeter to see if he went this way.” One whole sheet of pad paper! Why did he have to return so fast?
“I thought I specifically told you to let the queen out. Are you disobeying my orders, pawn?”
“No sir, I’m on it.”
“Onto your feet, pawn!”
“Yes, captain!”
“When I talk to you, you should respond with ‘aye’!”
“Aye, captain!”
“Great, carry on with your assigned duty.”
“Aye, captain.”
“What was that?”
“Aye, captain!”
“That is the spirit, pawn,” he tapped my shoulder.
I dragged my feet back to the queen’s room. When I looked inside the room, she was gone. Chills ran down my spine. Then soft hands lightly squeezed my shoulders. My mind clicked on who it was.
“Who are you looking for?” A gentle elderly voice asked.
“Y-Your Highness! The captain has sent me for you,” I jumped from where I stood.
“Oh? I thought he was coming for me. Is it dinner yet?” Her fingers roamed my shoulders.
“Uhh, he had a highly important errand to attend to. Can you stay with the other guards while you wait for him?”
“That will not be necessary, Your Highness. You have done well, pawn,” I jumped at the sudden presence of the captain.
“Ah, captain! Is it time yet?” She looked at him expectantly.
“Not yet, Your Highness,” she kissed her hands. “Can I ask a favor from you, my queen?”
“What do you want?”
“I want you to sniff the odd one out among the line of men. Can you do that for me?”
“Will you let me massage you after this?”
“We can do whatever we want after I am done with my shift.”
“Do not keep me waiting too long.”
“Did I ever disappoint you?”
“Hmph… fine! We should start now so you can finish early,” she brushed her fingers on his shoulders.
“I would love that, but I would need the king’s permission first. All right men, line up!”
I froze from where I stood. My jaw locked and I couldn’t utter any sound. Then a powerful push kicked me back in line. My epiglottis slowly rocked back and forth. I looked five hundred meters away as he canned every one of us. My breathing became uneven.
“Your Highness, this is my line of men. Who among them does not fit the line?”
“Hmm, I can’t say. Can I touch their chest?”
“You are free to do whatever you want with them.”
“Really?” Her eyes widened.
“Yes, my queen,” he touched her chin.
“Yay! I should start with this one.”
I was third in line. The first man stood slightly taller than me. The queen spread her fingers across his torso. He let out a quiet groan, which sounded like a cat’s purr. The rest of the men in line laughed at him. With a low whistle from the captain, the line straightened again.
“Hmm… I do not think it’s him, but he’s cute, though. This broad chest shall be mine,” the queen declared.
“As you wish, my queen,” he grunted happily.
The captain gazed through his skull. The smile on his face straightened. “Enough of him, my queen. There are still a lot of them lined up for you.”
“But I want to toy with him for a bit more.”
“You can do that later after we are done with this,” he kissed her forehead with urgency.
“Okay, captain. Now, who’s next? Ah, I want to hear how you would sound,” she pushed away from him and rushed to the man next in line.
The guy next to me muffled the sound coming from his mouth. His body twitched like short shots of electric pulses poking through his nerves. Every gasp of air sent his head rolling back. Soon after, he soiled his pants. Then the queen locked tongue with him.
“I-I’m sorry, captain, my uniform got ruined,” his shoulders shook after recovering from the kiss.
“Clean yourself up, pawn! You disgust me,” The captain’s eyes furrowed.
“I believe you can do better than that, so hurry back,” the queen waved at him. “What’s next on the menu?”
“I think you had enough fun, Your Highness,” the captain sounded uneasy.
“Can I have one more, please? Just this last one,” she pointed a finger at me.
“What is the meaning of this, captain?” An authoritative tone came from the highest window.
“Your Highness, I was only showing the queen how our men are doing,” the captain quickly turned to him in reply.
“We are under siege! Our defenses are nil on the forefront of battle. You better fill your arms!”
“I hear you, Your Highness. I must take the queen back to her room.”
“This better be the last time that I see her outside of her room, captain.”
“I can assure you that, Your Highness. I apologize, Milady, but you must return to your room for now,” he whispered to her.
“Aw, but I haven’t touched this one, yet,” her thin bony fingers almost reached my chest.
“You can have me for the rest of the night.”
“Can you bring the first two with you?”
“Aren’t I enough?”
“I’m sick of seeing the same old thing. Please, just this once.”
“I will see what I can do.”
“Yay! Captain, you are the best!”
“Aren’t I now?” He smiled at her, then trained his gaze towards us. “Alright men, man your positions this instant!”
“Aye, captain,” we all replied.
“What was that?”
“AYE! CAPTAIN!”
They all ran to their stations. I managed to slip out of the scene and went through the big opening. I exited the scene before the gate closed on me. I saw the captain lead the queen towards the back of the castle. The king peered from his balcony. He shouted for the captain.
“Man, that was close!” I wiped the sweat trickling from my forehead. I hid behind the tall bush one mile away from the castle. I hope nobody comes after me.
I looked over the lively bush to make sure. From the outer walls, I could see Darleen leading a hoard of clay dolls—large earthly creatures which I could compare to human-sized action figures. Her eyes looked determined as she made her approach.
“Hey, Human King! I think you have something of my possession. Where is my human?”
“No human can be of your possession, you filthy sand creature! Have you forgotten about the agreement?”
“How could I forget? It’s always at the back of our notebook.”
“Oh, so you were not aware.”
“About what?”
“The human you seek has been severely wounded. According to his account, you were the last one to be seen with him.”
“You are only making this up to make me look bad.”
“As proof, I have his blood preserved in this vial.”
“It could be any of your men’s blood.”
“We do not shed blood for nonsensical things.”
“Is he with you?”
“He took refuge here with us. You left him scarred and alone.”
“I-I, I think you are lying! I need to have him back.”
“Such atrocities are unforgivable. You have broken the agreement.”
“If you do not surrender him to me right this instant, I do not care who or what stands in my way.”
“So be it. We have come prepared during the past centuries.”
“Bardians, siege the castle!”
“Guards, attack!”
The clay golems rolled out balls of mud out of their hands. The king retreated from the balcony before it hit him. Bright lights from the points of the stronghold aimed towards the clay creatures. They solidified quicker than I could blink. Moments later, they exploded into bits of dust particles.
“What? My dolls!” The once proud army of sands turned into sands under her feet. “Where did they go?”
The king reappeared on the balcony laughing, “This is the level attained by human ingenuity! Did you think we humans have been sitting around toying with ourselves? You are wrong! Our ancestors did not leave us failures, but gifts of historically amazing failures. With that, we built what they could not have realized.”
“You humans are still beneath us. Come on, king. Fight me mano-a-mano,” she raised her fists at him.
“Ha! Hahaha! What a joke! You make me laugh, little one. Go home to your parents. Be thankful that I am keeping you alive for now to tell the tale of your defeat. But before you return, tell your parents that we humans will not sit idly by. Now, scram!” Beams of blinding light aimed at her.
“I will not forget this old man, you hear me? I will be back! You messed with the wrong kind,” Darleen threatened before slithering out in her sand form.
“Hmph! That should show her not to mess with us. Onto the next target, my men!”
“What are your plans, sire?” The captain stood beside him.
“We must prepare in case Dracopolis decides to step in. We cannot let these vicious, cold-blooded monsters have their way anymore. With human advancements on our side, we are invincible!”
“Should we make our move before they do, sire?”
“Are you mad? Let them come to us! Ah, by the way, have you found our escapee?”
“We are still trying to scavenge the area, sire.”
“He could not have gotten far. Expand your radius, captain.”
“Comprehended, sire. Men, you heard the king’s directive.”
“Captain, why are you leaving so soon?” The queen suddenly flung her arms onto the captain’s shoulders.
“Captain, care to explain why she is not locked in her room yet?” The king’s voice soared the night sky.
“I-I can explain, Your Highness,” the captain’s voice shook.
“I do not have time for your inadequacies! We must find him as soon as possible.”
“We are doing the best that we can, sire. Please have patience.”
“You are breaking every bit of my nerve, captain. Lock her up, captain.”
“Comprehended, Your Highness.”
“B-but I was only getting started,” the queen whined like a little girl.
“I do not want to hear another word from you, honey!” The king huffed.
“We must be on our way, Your Highness,” the captain’s footsteps became distant.
