Liam spun around, his golden eyes blazing with fury. “Give it to me!” he bellowed, claws flexing instinctively.
Selene’s lips curled in a vicious smirk, her claws clutching the crumpled letter. “Try it, and I’ll tear it to pieces!” she hissed.
“You wouldn’t!” Liam growled. That letter was the last thing Aurora had left for him—the one piece of truth she had controlled.
“I will! How dare you risk everything for that wretched wolf!” Selene shrieked, slicing the paper with a vicious swipe.
The fragments fluttered into the air like dying leaves. Liam’s heart felt as if it had been ripped apart. With a flash of silver fury, he lunged forward, claws swinging across Selene’s face.
