The higher you climb on love's ladder, the harder you fall~ROLEX Luce... "Well someone is in a good mood, today" I grinned at her before grabbing the glass of chocolate milk. "And here was I thinking you'll never wear that gown. I also remember a line that you said. Erm...something along the line that says It's useless" "Well mom it turned out to be useful. Afterall, mom knows best" "Well I'm glad you think so" I munched down my breakfast before taking the dishes to the sink. Mom grabbed her black purse that matched her black stilettos and began to walk towards the car. Her palazzo covered hips swaying slightly along with her white long sleeve shirt that was neately tucked in. Mom was young and beautiful and you won't believe we're 17 years apart. I'm 19 so that makes mom... Do the maths. Yup mom is 36. Pretty young, right? But everytime an onlooker or should I say coward admirers get to know about her 19 year old daughter. They flee. They don't run or walk away, they just flee and painful fact is that mom gets her heart broken. I can't help but feel is my fault. I just wanted to turn twenty and leave for college so mom can get her own happily ever after. "Luce, we're here" said mom her perfectly shaped left eyebrow raised in worry, "Are you sure you wanna still go in there? We can move.." "No mom, I'm fine" I said before getting out of the car. I smoothed down my black strapless gown and adjusted my leather jacket. Taking a deep breath, I walked in to the school. My ankle length heel boots clicking on the spotless hallway. I've already gotten my schedule and school requirements on my first day which turned out horrible but today is gonna be an exception. I opened the door that says Chemistry and about a million pairs of eyes snapped towards the door. Funny fact is that my target which is the Chemistry teacher looks angry making my work a lot more easier. "Well Miss Willows. Welcome back to school, how about that assignment?" I brought it out from my bag and handed it over to her. Her eyes scanned through the piece of paper greedily making me smirk. "You're still late for my class and the penalty is detention" "According to the wall clock, it clearly states 7:59 and this class clearly starts 8:00. But it's fine, I'll just go up to the principal's office and tell her your class started 7:30" I said already turning the door knob. 3... 2... 1... "Wait, go ahead and take your seat. You've missed a month of lectures and I don't want you missing any more" I smiled politely and walked towards the back where a lone chair sat and settled in. This school really is a peculiar one. The rules are simple. Classes should start on time and no teacher is allowed to punish a student outside his/her period. The other rules are just to fill the paper up. These two major rules are very important and the punishments are severe. The school also has a website where assignments notes, tests and quizzes are posted. All my notes are completed and so is my assignment. Now I'll just have to wait for the period to be over. I've got a big sentence coming up for you, Miss chemistry teacher. *********** The sound of the bell snapped me out of my daydream. I was angry and wanted to get as far away from people. I wasn't bipolar or anything. I just get irritated at little things like how some boys kept whistling. We were in class not a freaking soccer field. Plus the fact that Miss stupid kept on throwing glares at me. If it wasn't for the fact that I was trying to get out of highschool, I wouldn't mind staying for an extra year if it is to keep this woman back in her cage where she clearly belongs. I grabbed my backpack and was on my way to my next class when my name was called. "Miss Willows?" I bit down hard on my lip and turned to look at her. "Yes?" "I noticed you weren't paying attention in..." "I don't see how any of my business concerns you" Shit! I thought I said that in my head. Well since I've started, I might as well end it. "Look ma'am, you're a teacher and your job is to teach not to check on the student's concentration. Besides I'm not the only one who zoned out of your class. So ma'am, I'll advise you to mind your own business and stay out of mine" I strutted out of the classroom and headed straight for my next class; biology. If It was my old self, I would probably still be in that class with that woman listening to her blab. Right now, I didn't care about the consequences of my action, I just wanted to eat and forget I ever was angry.
