The Elder was Moonblaze’s pack Beta from two generations ago.
He was over ninety years old, but shifters did not age fast. He was also the offspring of a wolf and a witch. A hybrid – also part of the reason for his appearance.
He was one of the many in the first culling wave the shadow council implemented in the Malbarone Kingdom, when they started their poisoning of the rightful Alpha King, and one of the few to have survived it.
Under the older Alpha King, he had been pack Beta. Under the younger, assassinated Alpha King, he had been the kingdom’s Head Healer and chief Advisor – Grand Vizier – an honored title for one who supported the King.
Even with a pack Beta, the Elder had been a key figure in Malbarone.
