Their wolves watched the sun rise. Chrystal woke in the room that was now familiar to her. When and how she had gotten back to the large cave homestead, she did not know. There was no blood on her. She had been cleaned. She turned, looking left and right, but the room was empty. She fell back on the soft skins. She could not smell Castian. Not freshly. He had not slept in the room.
