(3.2) u n k n o w n THE LAST DAY OF SPRING BREAK SEEMS TO BE THE SUNNIEST DAY OF ALL. Though there is only one more day before school reopens, Simon and Judith didn't waste any chance for them to have fun. For a short while, at least. They were the only kids over 12 to build a sandcastle there, but being slightly older doesn't seem to be a big deal for the two boys. It's just unfortunate how their sandcastle couldn't survive even for a minute before they start to smear the sand onto each other's faces, which made them look more like kids than the actual children there. Simon catches himself having more fun than he usually would, not that it's a bad thing or anything. Judith smiling is making things much better, smiling together feels nothing like he ever felt before, as if his first real friend brought so much more than just some company. To him, Judith had the most beautiful eyes to ever match the ocean. Like the watercolor he owns, his eyes weren't blue like the sky above them, but instead an oceany beauty of green and yellow. Simon is left lying on the sand exhausted next to Judith, who seems to be still hyped and energetic. It is barely till sunset and Simon is already looking half-dead from the excessive movement from their sandcastle-wrecking experience. All he wants now is to just catch his breath as the song of the crashing waves serenade him. With their feet coated in wet sand from their mini 'moat' from the sandcastle, the two boys laid on their backs, looking back at each other's messed up hair and sand covered skin. Cheeks red from moving around too much, hair soaked by sea water. The sun shining is definitely going to cause more freckles on Simon's face, and Judith will probably not be as pale as he used to be. This was definitely the most fun they've ever had. It was enough to fuel memories, despite time telling them to go home. School begins again tomorrow morning, and no one seems to be particularly happy about it. Nonetheless, school wouldn't be as bad anymore for Judith. It was made better by one person, ginger hair and hazel eyes, freckles that resembled the stars in the sky. And it was no other than the local neighborhood's flower boy, Simon Wilkins.
