The void’s words trailed off, and at that moment, the flower bushes parted slightly, revealing the two mangled and torn apart corpses of the aforementioned intruders that had been cut in half by a sword.
“Are you trying to scare me, Emperor?” The witch asked in genuine surprise.
“Just giving you the latest news,” the bushes rustled again, restoring the garden to its pristine beauty. “I believe mortals call it small talk... So, what was it you wanted to ask me?”
