The neon lights of the club flickered like distant stars, casting pulsing shadows across Sasha’s face as she stepped inside. The bass was a physical force, vibrating through the floor, the walls, her very bones. Every beat promised escape, freedom, the rush she had been chasing for so long.
But this time, something felt different.
The crowd was bigger, wilder. Faces blurred past her some familiar, many not. Sasha moved through the throng with practiced ease, but inside, the cold warning from that unknown number echoed in her mind.
“Last chance. Walk away or lose everything.”
The phrase repeated like a mantra.
Her phone buzzed again a message from Chika.
“This is your final warning.”
Sasha’s fingers trembled as she read it.
She didn’t know who was really behind the threats the people she’d ignored, the friends she’d burned, or maybe someone darker, lurking in the shadows.
Still, the party called to her louder than fear.
Her eyes scanned the room and landed on a group of young men laughing too loudly near the bar. One of them, a tall, smooth-talking guy named Dele, caught her gaze and winked.
Dele was known for his charm and for being dangerous. Sasha knew the rumors but felt drawn to the thrill.
“Come dance with us,” he said, voice low.
She hesitated.
Then nodded.
The night spiraled quickly.
Drinks flowed, conversations blurred, and Sasha found herself caught between laughter and unease.
Dele’s attention was flattering but possessive, his smile sometimes flickering with something sharp.
At one point, she excused herself to the restroom, breathing hard.
In the mirror, she caught her reflection—eyes wide, heart racing.
Was this still fun? Or was it something else?
Back on the dance floor, the music drowned out her doubts.
But as the night grew late, Sasha’s phone lit up again:
“One last chance.”
Her hands shook.
Before she could respond, a loud commotion erupted near the entrance. Security rushed past, pulling someone out.
Whispers spread fast.
Sasha’s mind spun.
What had she gotten herself into?
Was it time to finally choose a path before it chose for her?
