Alpha Kristen's POV.
I heard light footsteps behind me, not too near but not far off either. I secretly knew who they belonged but I didn't stop walking. I deliberately slowed down my pace but kept it reasonable. The footsteps sounded nearer and with an increased pace. I rounded the corner and exactly ten seconds later the other person did.
"Alpha." the voice that had been haunting my dreams and giving me sleepless nights called out to me.
I halted in my tracks but didn't turn around yet. I wasn't sure I was ready for this encounter.
"Alpha Kristen," she spoke again.
A small smile crept to my lips as I wondered if I didn't answer her she would gift me the pleasure of hearing my name alone from that beautiful mouth of hers. As much as I would enjoy it, I didn't want to tempt Greyson.
