Alpha Kristen’s POV.
“Why should I place my hand on the tree?” Iris asked, taking a step back.
“A sacrifice is needed. Don’t you know what a ritual is?” I asked her, keeping my face as straight as possible.
I loved pulling tricks on her, her reaction always did it for me. Right now, she looked like she had seen a ghost but I could tell that she was struggling to keep calm.
“You want to use me as a sacrifice?” She questioned.
“Yes. Now hurry up, we don't have much time.” I said, advancing towards her.
She quickened her steps backwards and I also picked up my pace. I was a few steps away from her when she turned around to make a run for it. I launched forward and grabbed her.
