Adrianna's POV
I didn't pay much attention to what Amelia said. She was just angry because I stood up against her, something I had never done because I feared my father.
I made sure to avoid Shawn because I wasn't ready to talk to him. The fact that Amelia insulted him and he just stood there, watching her and not saying a word.
I heard the clicking of glass from the top of the stairs. Behold, Fredrick stood there. I guess he wanted to make a speech since he was the host of the party.
"Good evening, everyone"he cleared his throat. " I thank you all for attending this evening. Many of you may know the reason for this gathering while some of you don't."
I looked for Amelia, I spotted her smiling widely at the corner of the ball room. She was staring directly at Fredrick.
