Chapter 1

Milan, Italy

Milano Mansion

Franco Milano entered his secret chamber in one of the biggest room in his mansion which was built several decades ago. It was built by his ancestors to be the witness of the power of Milano's which spread in Italy as years gone by.

He remembered how he met a woman named Miran Lorenzo in one of the luxurious bar owned by his family.

A woman who came from a poor family and went to work in the bar as a singer. She was a very beautiful blue-eyed girl with a voice as sultry as sound of sea at dawn.

He met her at the bar and listened to her song for the first time.

"Good evening Don Franco" greeted by one of his trusted employee. "Good evening Stanley, How is the bar doing?"

he asked in his poker face and strong look.

"The club is doing great right now, especially tonight with our new young singer. All the men here is bewitched by that woman's voice". After hearing this from him, he went to look down the stage where he can see it clearly from his position now.

"Ooh, I've been to Georgia and California and anywhere I could run

Took the hand of a preacher man

And we made love in the sun

But I ran out of places and friendly faces

I've been to paradise but I've never been to me..."

The woman sang it angelically. He was lost for a moment while listening to the song.

"Don Franco, what can you say? She is still on probation, we haven't made him sign the contract, we were still waiting for your approval since she will perform in your charity event this weekend. "

"Oh I see, she is more than qualified, she is not only a singer but a temptress, she will bring more customers to this club. Let her sign the contract. I will personally assist her with that." He said in his dangerous tone. "I'll take care of it right away Don Franco".

Meanwhile, Miran is already in the dressing room and finished at her second stage performance. She was waiting for the Manager's decision if she passed the one week probation given to her when she applied as singer last week in the club. She remembered how he needed to find a job for his father's operation. She was still in second year college studying Economics but she needed to stop schooling for this reason. She only had his father as family when her mother died months ago due to black men wearing suit and finding something in their house. Her father is still at the farm working, when this event happened. Luckily, her mother commanded her to follow her father at the farm that night. She didn't know that several men in black uniform will intrude their house and attack her mother while she was alone. Since that tragedy occured her father became depressed and had kidney problem due to alcohol addiction. He needed an urgent kidney transplant. The reason why she needed to be hired in this job. The compensation and salary package is good enough to earn for his father's kidney transplant.

She was still reminiscing that moment when suddenly someone knock the door.

"Ms. Lorenzo, Stanley here. Can I come in?" The voice from outside. She opened the door excitedly. This is what she's been waiting for.

"Good evening, Sir. " She greeted politely.

"Are you ready for the contract signing?"

He asked her with glimmer in his eyes.

"Is that for real? I am really hired?" she asked in bubbly tone.

"Yes but, you have to be ready. The owner of this club will feed you the contract and discuss the policy of the company. " He asked in serious manner.

"I badly need this job. I will do my best Sir Stanley.

"That's great. Prepare your self well. The Big Boss is not an ordinary person. He can change your fate in just a blink of an eye."

He said in a dangerous warning look.

Suddenly her heart began pounding erratically...
