ASHLEY’S POV Being the hockey team’s assistant wasn’t glamorous. It was far from it. My mornings were filled with color-coded schedules, equipment checklists, and making sure no one forgot to hydrate before drills. It was work. Real, exhausting work. And I had to deal with exhausting classes on top of it. But it felt good. It felt like mine. I was actually pretty good at it. besides, I was starting to genuinely like hockey.
