ASHLEY’S POV The next morning, the school was buzzing. Every hallway I stepped into was plastered with championship posters. I saw bold red and gold letters screaming BIG GAME THIS WEEKEND! and pictures of Lucas’ team mid-play. Everyone was talking about it. “They’re gonna crush it this year.” “Unless Jack screws it up again.” “Lucas is the only reason we even made it to the finals.” I felt the energy vibrating in the air.
