LUCAS’ POV The first rays of the sun come in through my curtains. The rays highlighted her face. Ashley. She’s curled up beneath the blanket I threw over her last night. Her hair is all over the pillow. Strands stick out in a messy way, but the sunlight softens it. The sunlight on her face makes her look even more beautiful, if that's even possible. My chest tightens. I felt an ache in my chest just by looking at her. I stand in the doorway, arms crossed, watching her breathe slowly. She looks peaceful.
