Next Day
As I was driving to school, the radio blasted a throwback.
Ridin - Chamillionaire.
"They see me rollin, they hatin, patrollin, tryna catch me riding dirtyy..."
This was me and Dana's favorite song. We would play it every time we were together.
As I was pulling into the school, I turned off the radio and looked for a parking spot. I saw Kendra getting out of a blue bentley.(Barbie Moment)
I quickly pulled into the spot next to her. It was directly across from the school doors.
SCORE!
She didn't see me at first, so I honked my horn.
She whipped her head around and gave me a look.
I turned off the car and got out. "What?"
"Lucy, I wouldn't park there if I were you." She said, shaking her head.
"Why not? It was open." I said, confused.
She shook her head. "Nevermind."
I shrugged and walked over to her.
"Nice car." I said, smirking.
"I already know what you're thinking. 'This is such a barbie car'" she said, rolling her eyes.
I just laughed.
"To be honest, I actually love this car. And I gave her a name."
"Really? I gave my car a name too. Right over there is Dill." I said proudly.
Now Kendra laughed. "I like it. And this girl is Frankie."
We both laughed. I knew me and Kendra had a lot in common. We were both weird and named our cars.
"We're such weirdos" She chuckled, getting out of her car.
We headed to school.
"So what did you do last night?" I asked, walking to her locker.
"Nothing much. I just watched Greys Anatomy, what about you?"
"Nothing really. I went out to a diner in town and I met this guy. He said he goes to our school."
"Really who?" She asked, shutting her locker. I motioned for her to walk towards my locker. "I believe Greyson Young was his name."
"Greyson Young? Omg I haven't seen him and the others since 9th grade. What does he look like? Was he with any of his family?" She asked with her eyes bulging.
"Well he was kinda tall, and I didn't see him with anyone. Do you know him?"
"Luce, Greyson and his family are dangerous. I heard they all went to juvie for gang affiliation." She said quickly.
"Oh my god, really?
"Yeah, also they're kinda weird, like all of them are all related, but a few seem to be a little close if you know what I mean." She looked at me through the corners of her eyes.
"I don't." I said, puzzled.
"Last year this girl, Jordan, was running late and saw Grayson kissing his cousin."
"No way! That's gross." I said, scrunching my nose up.
"I know right. That's so nasty, but that family are like descendants from the Greek gods and goddesses. They are all beautiful.
I approached my locker and Kendra went on.
"They are really scary, well that's what I remember them as. They travel in one big group and if you mess with one you mess with all."
"You make them sound like they are a pack." I stated, grabbing my calc book.
"They are!" Barbie squealed.
"And you should see the leader of it." She said, leaning on the locker next to me.
"Luce, I know I said the others are like Greek gods, but Ben is God thy self."
"Really? I want to see him." I said, shutting my locker.
"We will! You said they were coming back today, right? Maybe we'll have a class with them.
"Oh that's right. I want to see this little pack." I said, chuckling.
"I wouldn't try to be too interested in Ben, Loren Win, head cheerleader, claims that she has been seeing him for a while."
I went to say something but was cut off by the bell.
"Well, I'll see you at lunch, Luce. Follow me if you see them." Kendra said, backing away.
"Okay, same for you." And with that I turned to go to calculus.
My day went by really fast and in no time, I was walking to my locker putting my things away to go to lunch.
I still haven't seen Grayson or the rest of the "gang".
While I was putting my bag away, someone tickled me.
I screamed so loudly. I'm very very ticklish. And I absolutely hate it.
I quickly jumped around to see a laughing Kendra.
" DONT DO THAT KENDRA, I HATE BEING TICKLED!" I yelled at her.
"Luce, you just moved so high, that was so funny." She laughed.
"That is not funny." I said, turning red. Kendra just shook her head, smiling and started walking.
"So have you seen them yet?" I asked, catching up with her.
"No, no one's seen them yet. Maybe he lied."
"Probably." Once Kendra and I were in the lunch room, we went straight to our table in the back. As I was pulling out my lunch, someone plopped down beside me.
"Hey, I'm Aaron Xan." I turned to see a cute guy with brown hair and brown eyes.
"Lucy Crest." I smiled, looking at him.
He pulled his hand out for me to shake, which I did. "Nice to meet you Lucy. I haven't seen you here before."
"Maybe because she knew Aaron," Said an annoyed Kendra.
"Ahh Barbie O'Grady is my favorite doll in the world," he said with a smirk on his face.
"I suggest if you want to keep that pretty little mouth of yours you'll stop calling me Barbie." Spit Kendra, giving Aaron a death glare.
Aaron then put his hand on his heart and tilted his head. "Awh, you think I'm pretty." He said with sarcasm.
"What do you want Aaron?" Kendra asked, rolling her eyes.
"Is it such a crime to be nice and want to be acquainted with the new girl?" He asked, putting his hands up.
Kendra snorted. "Acquainted? Ha! You probably just want to get in her pants." Chuckled Kendra.
My mouth then fell open. I looked from Kendra to Aaron.
Aaron just shook his head. "You know youre attractive when you don't talk."
"Well then, I guess I'll be ugly forever." Kendra shrugged.
"I guess so." Aaron said, then turning back to me. "Well, I should probably go back to my friends. I just wanted to introduce myself. If you ever need anything, I'm not hard to find."
I didn't know what to say, so I just nodded. He then smiled and walked over to the table 3 down from us.
"What was all that about?" I asked Kendra.
"Aaron Xan, star quarterback and biggest player,'s probably trying to find a new girl to sleep with since he's been through all the girls here. No offense." She said, looking at me.
I gave her a look. "And no, I did not sleep with him. I despise him, if you can't tell."
I just shook my head. "So what do you have next?" I asked.
"I have a gym," she replied.
"Oh my god, someone, who's your teacher? I have Mr. Smit."
"No way, so do I! But heads up, he's the football coach."
I groaned. "So that means I need to go try hard?"
"Yup, but we can try hard together." She smiled.
