Chapter Ten It's hard to believe it's only been a few days since I was last in Catherine's office hoping to convince her to save Oscar from the cage fights. Somehow, it still hasn't sunk in properly that she not only said yes, but she said it so easily. And now I have him back. Satisfaction wells up within me at the mere thought of our conversations from the night before and the chance to tell him how I feel. I thought I'd lost that opportunity when I was arrested, but thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case. "Ah good, you're here," Catherine says, sweeping down the hall with her skirts trailing behind her. "You did ask me to come," I point out. "I know, but I thought you may have gotten distracted by a certain guest." She doesn't wink, but I can hear the intention in her voice.
