Chapter 6
“Don’t go too far, Harriet.” Dominic called as Harriet charged off across the playground.
All he got in response was a squeal of laughter and then his daughter was climbing up a makeshift climbing wall. She was so agile, scaling the wall without any wobbles. Angie smiled at Dominic and patted his shoulder.
“She’ll be fine. I’ll keep an eye on her.”
“Thanks. Just be careful,” Dominic warned, “She does have a tendency to run around before you’ve got yourself settled.”
Angie laughed.
“She’s a child. I’m not surprised.”
She started jogging after Harriet, who was now at the top of the wall and shuffling over to get onto the bridge. Dominic watched his daughter with pride. It had taken some months to get Harriet to want to go to the park after she had taken a fall from the ladde
