Adrian could barely sleep throughout the night. Whenever he closed his eyes, the video of him and Damon scrambling on the ground like peasants haunted him. Finally, Selena called at seven in the morning.
"We're meeting the legal team in half an hour, so I need you to freshen up and reach Vault in an hour."
Adrian pulled himself out of bed, went into the shower, and had a quick bath, which he felt would help him think and wash away his worries. He had a bruise on his shoulder where Damon had hit him, and he groaned.
Just perfect.
Twenty minutes later, he arrived at Vault. In the lobby, Selena was waiting with three lawyers he hadn't met before.
"This is Rebecca, David Chen, and Patricia," Selena said as she pointed to each of them. "They are a core part of our corporate legal team."
