Chapter 31: Yuki's nightmare

“Are you feeling cold Kaede?”
“Nope, Maybe someone is talking about me… who cares about them… More importantly. I currently have a huge gap in level on three of us… I’m supposed to be the leader of the party right?”
“That’s true, but you're not been online for a very long time. I practice every night after I do my homework. Yuki is unbelievable. Feels like she's not sleeping anymore… I mean the last time I saw her she’s in level 42 already.”
Kaede was shocked after hearing that.
Normally a player will find it hard to level up. The higher the level they get. But Yuki is always searching for a great farming area to increased her strength. It's not just her strength that increased. The number of skills she has also increased.
If there was a time Yuki and Kaede battled each other. Kaede will never know who's going to win.
There is a very low chance for it to happen anyway. Kaede doesn’t think about it that much.
After enjoying their meals at the restaurant. Kaede noticed the clock.
“It's about to hit 6:00 PM… I should be logging out and prepared my real-life dinner.”
“You're preparing your real-life dinner? I didn’t know that you're that responsible. I thought we’re just in the same age.”
Kaede turned her eye’s on Clover's big breast when she said that.
“I think we’re not at the same age.”
“That’s horrible… My breasts are not the measurements of my age. I’m an ordinary freshman in high school you know.”
“Then, I’m two years younger. Yuki and I was a middle schooler. We’re both in the second year in middle school.”
“That makes sense but still… I feel defeated. Still, I’m proud that your ability to do your chores. Where is your family?”
Clover asked.
Kaede hearing that, look downward with a dejected face.
“Well, they are already dead…”
Clovers were shocked and tears come flowing from her eyes. She hugs Kaede and pressed her face to her bosom.
“I-I can’t breath… C-Clover… S-So-Someone please help me…”
“I didn’t know you have such rough life… Kaede! Kaede! Kaede!”
“Stop hugging me already! It's suffocating… Don’t worry about it. I’m already used to being alone.”
Kaede said with optimistic eyes.
Clover puts her hand on her mouth and mutters.
“That makes it sadder.”
“Stop crying already.”
Kaede goes out to the restaurant and logs out on the game.
Waking up in real life. The sun had already fells down and the dark blue night sky was very clear. There's not a lot of clouds these days. Indicating that summer is coming.
Kaede stood up from her bed and do her normal chores. Watching her favorite anime while eating her dinner.
In the anime, she’s watching she’s seeing people eating together like a family.
Seeing that makes her wonder what kind of feeling eating with somebody feels like.
Despite her family dying in an accident leaving only Kaede. Kade didn’t even feel her mother taking care of her. Her family is always busy with their work and never home.
Even Kaede did her best to think of a time where they are happy as a family. She can’t think of anything at all.
Because there is nothing to remember at all.
“I feel like I’m a psychopath or something… I can’t connect at all… Well, there is nothing wrong with me. I’m just being me. I’m lonely and who cares about that. I will be rich and retire. I’ll be working hard on it!”
Kaede said as she clenched her fist with fierce on her eyes.
Kaede get’s her phone and plays some games on her smartphone to change some pace.
After that, she then remembers Yuki.
She goes into her contacts and calls her. The phone rings…
“Hello… Kaede what’s up?”
“Good evening, Well… I just feel lonely tonight. You see I log in today and met with Clover. I didn’t know that you're in level 42 right now. That’s unfair I’m supposed to be the leader right?”
Kaede said and pouted her face like squirrels.
“There is no such rule like that, but I’m working hard just in case of the next event starts.”
“When is the next event?”
“I think it's in summer. It's perfect because we don’t have school. We can do lots of adventuring in the game. The summer cup is also happening we should not miss it.”
“Summer cup? What was that?”
“It's a tournament of players. Players will participate and battle each other. In that tournament. We’re going to see who's really is the powerful one. Maybe, I’ll get to battle you.”
Kaede was astonished to hear such work from Yuki.
“I don’t want to battle you…”
“Same with me… Are you doing something tonight?”
“Nothing really…”
“Then, How about playing together? I’ll be waiting for you in the central park on floor two. I’ll be inviting Clover too…”
With a smile on her face. Kaede nodded and replies.
“Yup, I’ll be there.”

Kaede logs in to Fantasy world online.
She goes straight running to the central park and meets up with Yuki’s already with Clover waiting for her.
“Kaede!”
Yui waved her hand to call Kaede.
Looking at Yuki. Yuki’s wearing her new armor. It’s one of the unique series requirements. It's called Nightsky Owl armor. Its violet cover with a shade of darkness made it hard to locate especially in the dark.
It also boosts Yuki’s Agility drastically.
“So cool! Your armor is so cool! Yuki!”
With Kaede’s praise, Yuki scratches the back of her head with a flattened face.
“I’m just lucky… What is that cutie on your shoulder Kaede?”
“It's my familiar… Her name is biscuit.”
“So-So cute!”
Yuki hugs Biscuit immediately, But Biscuit felt a sense of danger with Yuki and breaths fire into Yuki’s body.
“Ahhh! Hots! Hots!”
Yuki then jumps to the fountain to remove her burned status.
Biscuit is gritting her teeth and looking sharply at Yuki.
“What did I do to deserve this treatment?”
“Well, I didn’t know Biscuit is not normally like that.”
“Maybe it's because of your main attribute. Yuki’s main element was water. And Biscuit was fire, Maybe the elemental energy within each body is clashing together, Making Biscuit felt uncomfortable being with Yuki.”
Clover explained a theory.
“Then, I would never gonna be able to hug her.”
Moving on, they go to the place where they can gain more experience and level up. Yuki brings the two girls to a big wide lake.
Using Yuki’s fishing skills she was able to fish many powerful monsters.
After fishing, Kaede and Clover will come to attack it.
“The fish monsters in this lake are not that harmful but their level is quite high. Leveling up using then is one of the easiest ways.”
“Expected from a game expert!”
Kaede complimented.
While the three girls are enjoying their grinding.
An unfamiliar girl appeared and call out Yuki.
“You’re having a lot of fun.”
Yuki turned her face and the girl who appeared in front of her made her cheerful face change.
The girl that defeated Yuki in the championship match before. The girl that Yuki never defeated appeared.
“What are you doing here?”
“Just like you having fun, I guess…”
