The event ended and they were returned to their original location. The accelerated time returned to its original flow as well. An announcement was broadcast by the management. The top 20 teams remaining in the event will be invited to participate in the much-awaited summer cup.
The next day, Kaede Kishimoto the sword user and famous for various nicknames like demon sword demon king, and sword user that bend the game system. Is with her friend Honjou Yuki. Chilling out after school in a cafe.
“Don’t be so grumpy to the result of the event. Some player just has great strategy than us.”
Kaede said to Yuki whose eating her special sundae with her both eyebrows nearly connecting.
“That two girls who killed us is very sneaky. That’s not the way to fight your opponent.”
Yuki has a similar tactic as an assassin. I better not say it or else she might explode. Kaede thinks and sips her Ice cream float.
“But it's not a bad thing at all right? We are invited to the summer cup. With this, I might get our revenge on those two girls with guns. We received 20,000 yen as a prize.”
They indeed receive 20,000 as a reward for being invited to the summer cup event. Split it into five, they receive 4,000 yen each.
Getting their money Kaede and Yuki immediately indulge themselves by treating themselves with food.
“That’s nice… Money cools off heated heads… What will you do with the remaining money you have, Kaede?”
“Umm…” Kaede placed her finger to her cheeks cutely. “Maybe I will put some on my savings account. I’m already living alone I must learn how to budget.”
“Despite you acting cutely, you’re a mature person. Compare to me I only think about my own happiness.”
“It's the same with me… I’m also thinking about myself before others. I mean, money is important I can’t just go freely and spend to my heart content.”
Kaede’s family was already dead because of a tragic car accident before. With her parents gone, all she can do is rely on herself. Her relatives are useless and don’t want to take care of her.
Yuki knows this and feels bad about the tragedy Kaede was feeling. That’s why Yuki always wanted to be on Kaede’s side.
“Do you resent you, relatives, for not taking responsibility for you?”
The tone of the conversation turns into a serious mood. Kaede's expression was immediately flipped for a moment.
“S-Sorry! Sorry, Kaede… I know it is something that I should not say. I’m so stupid for not thinking your feeling before asking.”
Kaede shook her head and lifted her head to face Yuki and smile at her. She was smiling but on her smile, her eyes have hints of sadness on them.
“I don’t hate them… Even they don’t take care of me. I’m fine being with myself. I’m fine.”
You’re not fine at all.
“It's getting late… I still have to do some laundry and cook for dinner. I better go out right now.”
Kaede said and stood up from her seat. She took her bag and wave to Yuki.
Yuki was feeling bad for bringing such a topic. With the ominous feeling of weight through her heart, she stood up and follow Kaede.
Kaede was running and she stopped her by grabbing her hand.
“You're not alone… I’m always on your side.”
Yuki muttered. Her tone was apologetic and it was seen through her eyes. Kaede grinned briefly and smack Yuki’s head with her hand chop.
“Don’t pull my comedic life into drama… I’m not used to it. I know you're always on my side. You're my best friend after all.”
Those words lighten up Yuki and made her feel better. Because she thought she hurt Kaede’s feelings without knowing about it.
“... Yuki, thank you for everything. Let’s continue being friends with each other.”
“Of course! You can count on me.”
Yuki clenched her fist lifting Kaede’s spirit. After that, they parted ways. Walking in a different direction. Yuki goes back to her home. Welcome by her loving parents, Big brother, big sister, and little sister whose still 2 years of age.
“Yuki, are you going to play games again.”
“I’m not! I’m going to finish my assignment first.”
“No Mama, she will play that all she talks about in school.”
“Big sister you snake!”
“Don’t call me a snake.”
“Stop blackmailing your sister because she didn’t give you her pudding last time. Also, stop checking you’re social media for hours. That’s not healthy at all.”
Yuki’s big brother said and took out a cake. He is working in a company and he got some treat for the family.
“Wow! Cake… Umm… Its Chocolate flavor… I hate it.”
Yuki's big sister said with her disappointing eyes.
“Chocolate is the staple flavor of sweets. Don’t underestimate chocolate.”
“Big brother takes little things so seriously. That’s why you don’t have a girlfriend. You will die as a virgin with no family.”
“Well, I don’t have to have a girlfriend to be happy. Is that right Mary?!”
The big brother gets and carries the baby little sister Mary in her hands and started playing with her.
“Creepy? Stop showing that wacky face to Mary.”
“Creepy? But you love Big brother so much you wanted to marry him. Is that right mama?”
“I still remember it. Haruna is really clingy with her brother. I have it save in my smartphone.”
The embarrassing video was played and Yuki’s big sister Haruna’s face flustered. With embracement, she runs toward her room and covers her body with a futon. Rolling around over and over again.
“Mama give me the video. I’ll have use for it.”
“Revenge is wrong… Don’t blackmail you’re big sister Yuki.”
Yuki pouted her face and averted her glance away.
After that, they go back to the dining table and started eating together. Yuki’s family is a picture of a wonderful family. Even though they don’t have too much wealth. They are doing their best to be happy with each other every day.

“I’m home…”
Kaede said as she opened the door.
“... As if someone is going to welcome me.”
She takes off her shoes and goes straight to the kitchen. She goes to the grocery before she goes back home. She placed her groceries on the table and get an apron.
The house was so silent all you can hear was the drop of water from the closed faucet.
Taking the ingredients out started chopping the vegetables and meat. Looking at the cooking.
“I need a pot… Today I will do some hot pot. I guess I’ll be eating this tomorrow morning too.”
She simmers the vegetable and puts the other ingredients. While waiting for the hot pot to be cook she gets her dirty clothes and pours them into the washing machine.
Kaede always does it she got used to it. Maybe people may envy her peaceful life. The food is ready and the clothes are washing on the washing machine. While she is eating she watches television.
Watching television was a family living together eating together with brimming smiles on their face.
Before Kaede put the spoon on her mouth. A shed of tears slides down her cheeks toward her bowl of hot pot.
It's not normal but there are times she is extremely sad. This feeling always weighs on her heart. Even how much she wanted to move on. Wanting and desiring the norm is already impossible for her.
She continuously shed tears while she eats dinner.
