Chapter 97: Sacred art training

Another day has come, I brought Alicia to the lakeside area once again. One week has passed already since I took down the legendary demon tree. I exercise a lot and have my motor skills back. I’m still tripping sometimes but it's not severe anymore.
“Kaede, what do you think about Lugg? His super hot right?”
“I don’t know about that.”

“I don’t want to think about those things at all.”
“You’re boring.”
“Really? I don’t really have a real interest in falling in love. I just don’t get those kinds of stuff.”
“Then what do you think about Shun?”
“Shun is like a big brother to me. I won’t see him as a romantic partner.”
“Shun is already rejected huh? Let's not fool around. Why did you bring me here?”
“I want to learn some scared arts… You’re studying in a school where they teach sacred arts right?”
“If you wanted to learn sacred arts then you should just enroll. With that kind of money. I guess you can attend.”
That’s an option, but school takes many years and there is much unnecessary stuff taught in a school that I can’t apply in real life. I don’t want to go through all those kinds of things.
According to the book I read. Healing is an advanced type of sacred art. Meaning, Alicia has been considered an advanced mage class already.

“Really?! That’s great! Yey!”
Alicia gets a stick and uses it to write something on the sand. She wrote simple text like ember, liquid, gas, material, luminous and umbral.
“This six is the basics of elemental arts. Simply putting it next to the word “Create” will make results.”
I followed her instruction and said:
“Create ember.”
There is nothing happened.
“Well, it's not that simple… You need to think about it deeply in your mind and heart. You need to imagine it first and chant the word. Just like this… Create ember.”
From Alicia's fingertip, a small flame emerges.
“Wow… Alicia can become a lighter.”
“Please don’t put me in that class.”
The steps are:
1. Imaging
2. Chanting the syntax. Create + word.
I put my hands together and followed the steps.
Imagining big flames.
“Create ember!”
A huge flame emerges from my hand upward. I was amazed at what I did, but suddenly I felt dizzy and fell.
“Kaede!”
Alicia catches and lets me lay down on her lap for a while.
“What happened? I just do what you told me.”

This is like a game But has some differences. In this world, losing too much MP will lead a person to this state. I should be careful next time.
When I got high level. I think I can increase my MP. Cutting down the legendary tree didn’t give me experience at all. I’m still in level 5. I’m quite disappointed with it.
“Alicia, can you do powerful arts?”

I seat upon the grass and lift my eyes to drifting clouds.
“Sorry, I even tease you. I thought Shun is being happy because he got a replacement for his little sister. I was so angry because someone like him don’t deserve to be happy. He even agrees on it.”
“Well, Shun blames himself a lot. He doesn’t have self-esteem and only talked to the elderly. But he has nice sides too. Did you know that his real name is Kiri?”
“Why his using Shun?”
“I don’t know but I called him Kiri sometimes. If it was his real name. Then, I prepared to call him Kiri. He's so mysterious… I also heard Yue is not his real little sister.”
“I also heard about that… There is no use talking to that man. I’ll show you what an honor student is capable of.”
Alicia stands up. She walked closer to the lake and swing her hand from above her head down to the ground
“Create Flame… Structure explosion.”
A huge explosion of flame goes down to the lake.
“I can use the word flame instead of ember.”
“That’s right, but ember is more suited for beginners because ember means little flame. To use the Sacred art structure. The user needs to know the foundation of certain things. I studied the structure and how the explosion phenomenon happens. That’s the reason why I’m able to chant it.”
To put it simply, imagination is used for imaging, and Knowledge uses it to create. Without knowledge, I can’t produce anything.
That rule made Sacred art balance.
But that put the advantage to people that can go to school. Unlike the other people who can’t. Ordinary civilians can go to the library, but few people can withstand the words written on books.
“Does that mean I can use ‘Create water’ in replacement of liquid?”
“Well… Yes, but when that happened ordinary water will appear. Water from sacred arts can’t be drink. It won’t quench your thirst same with Air if won’t save you underwater. But liquid and gas are special… Look at this...”
She places both hands together in front of her facing the lake.
“Create liquid bubble form… Create flame gas form…
I can smell it smells like kerosene in the real world. Does that mean…
Alicia stays away from the bubble. She let the bubble float meters away to the lake and she made a gun-like gesture on her fingers.
“Create ember… Discharge!”
The small flame flies to the bubble Upon contact it made a huge explosion.
“Another explosion.”
“Yep… Sacred art ‘Liquid’ is also water but it can take forms. Water is just constant like this… Create water!”
A water ball was created on Alicia’s hand and it fell to the ground.
“... Gas is tricky because it doesn’t have form at all. I have trouble using it…. But if know the structure and you can imagine it. You can go ahead and say… Structure + keyword… For example, explosion.
Alicia chanted those arts but didn’t suffer in lacking MP. Seems like she has plenty of MP inside of her.
If there is liquid and gas… meaning there are solid. Its basic form of matter. Plasma is also to be considered.
Let me test something.
“Create water… Solid form.”
A small block of Ice appeared in my hand.
“An Ice… I never heard about solid before.”
“Well, it's just a hunch… I'm glad it works.
“To create Ice we use… Create water materialize cube shape.”
A cube of ice appeared in her hand.
“... This ice can’t be consuming like water. But it can chill food and other stuff like drinking water. It disappeared instead of melting… The chant you know is far easier.”
I need to try another one.
I can stand up now I regain a few of my MP. Because I only have a hundred MP.
I took a deep breath and put my hand on lake water.
“Create plasma!”
My hand zapped together a small part of the lake glowing up. I was frightened and retreated.
“What was that, Kaede?”
“It's just a hunch…”
“Kaede you killed a lot of fish on the lake. We can eat lots of fish! Hooray!”
Alicia got excited and swim at the lake.
I’m not attempting for it to work like this. In my country, electric fishing is considered illegal. Base on Alicia’s reaction I guess, it's not illegal here.
I just need to hope that there is still much fish in the lake.
I got dizzy and fell again.
