Chapter 58: Skull Reaper Centipede

After discovering the boss monster, Kaede and Ronie immediately jump out from the point of their standing to avoid the diving Centipede monster.
It curls around the whole boss room. After a moment it stopped and rise its long body. The towering body of the centipede and intimidating stare leaves Ronie in anxiety. Cold sweat fell and she trembles in fear she plans to close her eyes and cover her whole body with a shield.
“It's hopeless… We’re unable to win this battle…” Ronie muttered in an extremely low tone voice. Even Kaede whose nearly beside her was Unable to hear. “…”
While Ronie is losing her hope. Kaede optimistic look toward the Skull Reaper Centipede. She made a smile and her outfit already changed.
Now Kaede is in her staple black knight armor set. On her hand was her moon piercer sword.
“Let’s do our best Ronie.”

Ronie seeing Kaede. Can’t take her eyes off Kaede’s smile. Even in the middle of danger. Kaede was still smiling.
The shacking on her hand stopped and stand up firm.
“Sorry for losing hope, I swear that won’t happen ever again.”
Ronie said and hold her shield in front of her. Her HP and MP are all full thanks to Melida’s healing. Right now she thought she can do everything she can do to face the boss monster in front of them. The same case for Kaede.
Skull Reaper Centipede opened its mouth and released:
“Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecchhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
A horrible sound that made Kaede and Ronie hold their both palm to their ears. The sound waves as able to made the roo tremble.
Screech skills have a special effect of decreased targets defensive stats by 20%. Kaede was not affected by it because she is doesn’t have VIT. But to Ronie who’s a majority of status points was pour to VIT suffers.
Her Hp that was supposed to be 20,250 HP was decreased to 16,200 HP. Minus the screech damage effect leaving Ronie to 12,245 HP.
“That was close…”
Kaede said with a sense of relief.
“How Kaede was still alive after taking that damage? Kaede’s Hp was only in 500 HP.”
Kaede smiled and proudly pointed her armor. Kaede put a material with a skill that blocks all damage effects. The damage effect won’t deal damage to her.
Kaede knows that her Hp is low. She fixed her shortcomings with her equipment, item, and skills.
“Expected from Master.”
“This is where the true battle starts…” Kaede turned her eyes to Skull Reaper Centipede and charge. While running she activated her skill. “Paralyzing roar!”
The electric shock came crawling to the centipede's body. Ut the skull bone that was covering its body protected it from the paralyzing effect.
Leaving Kaede to its next move.
“Poison smoke!”
Fro her sword violet smoke emerges and covered serve as a smokescreen to Kaede. The Centipede used its tail and swing in the ground. Together with its tail. It removes the poison smoke from the air.
But Kaede wasn’t inside the violet smoke anymore.
Kaede appeared in the air with her sword. The reason KAed e was able to move at high speed is her skill Dash thrust. Kaede after seeing Melida ad Ronie used the Shield Thruster skills noticed that skills can be used to speed up players' movements. Kaede also notice it when Ronie used the Cover move skill in an earlier fight.
Checking her skills while walking to the boss room. She remembers her new skill sets.
“Take this! Sword s***h!”
Kaede slashes Skull Reaper Centipede's head. A loud metallic sound echoed and spark. Kaede’s sword bounces away from it.
“It's tough.”
Kaede while in mid-air lost its ability to move. Before Kaede fell on the ground. The centipede collected energy on its antenna. A huge pool of energy was then blasted to Kaede in form of a laser beam.
“Cover move!”
Ronie defended Kaede leading for her shield to c***k and got destroyed. They both flew away to the giant door and slide down to the ground.
Kaede manage to deal huge damage to Skull Reaper Centipede, but it wasn’t enough. Kaede’s sword s***h took 20% of its HP from the one HP bar.
“That was a close call.”
“I never imagine that its head was tough. My moon piercer sword usually cut through anything. But it's different from now.”
“How about weakness?”
“I’m not good on the strategic battle, but I have an idea.”
Kaede explained her plan to Ronie. Kaede’s plan was simple. Buy her Kaede time to equipped her equipment.
In Kaede’s current equipment, She wasn’t able to use her Poison smoke as a smokescreen for now because of the cool-down period.
She needs to use her White knight armor to used its attached skill “Smokescreen”. Kaede also has a plan in increasing her STR.
Skull Reaper Centipede attacks by tackling the two girls. The two girls dodge the attack by activating their skills in different directions.
“Thruster!”
“Dash thrust!”
After the monster crash to the giant door. It craned its head and look around at both players on a different side of the room.
“Choose me! Provoke!”
Ronie used skill to drew Skull Reaper Centipede's attention to her position. The moment the centipede moves to Ronie's position. Kaede opened her menu and change her equipment and item accessories.
She then filled her left and right hand with her sword.
Moon piercer sword (Right).
Royal white sword (Left).
Dual sword equip.
Ronie tank Skull Reaper Centipede attack for a while and after Kaede is done with her equipment change she shouted:
“Now!”
Ronie deactivates her Provoke skill. Kaede used to provoke her to provoke skill instead.
Skull Reaper Centipede's attention turns to Kaede. Kaede made a dual sword stance.
The centipede jumps to Kaede heads on. Kaede swings her sword.
“Sword demon form!”
Kaede changes her from rising her stats. With help of her second sword. Her STR grows even higher.
STR: 4912 (+500) (+900) (Sword boost +19,648) (x3) (Sword demon x2)
Fisrt I’ll destroy your defence!
“Defence buster!”
Kaede swings her sword intercepting Skull Reaper Centipede's skull bone head. In contact with Kaede’s skill. It started to shatter into pieces.
“Dash thrust!”
She moves in distance from her position and slashed her sword in Centipede’s other bone parts with Defence buster skill. Kaede started to peel the skull bone armor of the centipede.
Ronie watching Kaede from the side. Can’t imagine how Kaede was able to do amazing things.
The Centipede made high pitch cry and raised its long body trying to flee by running up to the ceiling.
“Table already turned… Master destroyed its armor. Go! Go! Master defeat that monster!”
Ronie cheered.
Kaede didn’t let the Centipede go away and used her ultimate skill.
Speeding up like a shooting star. Kaede piercing its body and cut it way through.
“Meteor s***h!”
Its body turned into light and is destroyed with a destroyed mirror effect. Its fragments came falling to the room like snow. Above Kaede descended like some kind of goddess down to the ground.
A window appeared widely in front of their vision.
