Jayce's POV
I sat in front of the gathered crowd of curious onlookers. My skin was pallid, my hair dishevelled, and my eyes seemed to hold a distant knowledge. The people had gathered to hear my story, to hear about what I had experienced during the time I was dead and the time I had been in a coma.
I cleared my throat and began my story. "I remember waking up in a dark place," I said. "It was like being in a tunnel, but there was no light at the end. I couldn't move, and I couldn't see anything, but I knew I was there."
I paused, gathering my thoughts.
"Next thing I knew, I was back in my body. It was like being plunged into cold water. I could feel everything, but it was all so distant, as if I was observing it from a great height."
