I needed some more agents to fight Kaden and his pack. Jayce's brother was up for grabs and though he retired from the UA years ago to focus on his family, I know he will still be interested in what we had going on especially after Jayce died. I knew Paul to be all about family and he'd want to get back at the person that killed his brother, depending on who I told him was responsible.
Of course it was to pin Jayce's death on Kaden and his pack. Plus to blame the bratty hybrid, Alina, who he adopted as his daughter and trained himself in the UA. I was glad that everything was going according to my plan - killing two birds in one stone.
