I couldn't help but notice the distance between Kaden and Alina lately. It was very obvious that something was wrong. My mind flashed back to the conversation I had with Alina yesterday. I wondered if this distance was as a result of the conversation they might have had after our talk at the diner. I instantly felt like I had to talk to Kaden about it before things became worse between them. We didn't need this kind of situation between them right now.
"Hey man, can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked, as Kaden walked past me in the hallway.
Kaden stopped and looked at me, his expression flat and unbothered. "Yes, what's up?"
I went straight to the point. "I noticed things between you and Alina haven't been great lately. Is everything okay?"
