Without Consequence
Irena's POV
The council meeting was held virtually because despite the call for the meeting being as a result of a number of pressing issues that affects and could endanger all vampire kind. Most of the council members had schedules that they simply could not change or bend. One of the those pressing issues we had to talk about was the matter regarding August's mysterious magical dopelganger. Suffice to say they were not happy to only just then receive that information, but I quickly deflected most of their annoying and sometimes ignorant questions
"why are we just hearing this?"
"where is this August child now?"
"why must her case be treated differently? Is it because she is one of your pets?"
"you are quick to exert judgement, it should be the same
