CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
David pushed the door.
“Javelina! Javelina!”
He went straight to her bedroom.
She lay on the bed shaking and drenched in sweat. He kneeled and looked at her. She kept twisting her head to the sides. He stared at her closed eyes and noticed the eyes moving fast behind closed eyelids.
“Javelina!”
Rapidly she snapped and opened her eyes.
She stared at David and quickly touched herself and looked at her hands.
“David!”
She hugged him tight and started crying.
“I can’t believe I am alive. I thought I died.”
She cried profusely.
Jay straightaway came in.
“Sleepwalking again?”
“No. Just a nightmare I guess she just had.”
“It felt so real. I can still feel the stabbing pain. They did not stop. I felt dying. It was horrific.” She sobbed.
“Just a bad dream.”
