CHAPTER TWO “Damn it! You have got some nerves coming here and accusing me of the death of …who again?” “The gatekeeper!” Replied Detective Billy. “Why on earth would I want him dead?” Detective Billy handed him the 666-card found on his decomposing body. He looked at it and looked lost. “What does a private club have to do with us?” The Detective smiled. “We are not stupid. We believe this is your logo. I mean secret logo,” said the Detective. He showed him again the card. “Mark of the Beast! We believe Tomorrow’s World Order secret logo. Correct me if I am wrong?” Requested the Detective. “Our logo is a lion, and it is not a secret. The logo is derived from our license to kill; the Ultima-Talionis. Which can be read as; the Ultimate-Lion-Is! So definitely not a secret. What makes you think that the Devil’s number is our logo?” “Disguising your logo but making sure that the person knows exactly who is killing them but fooling us the detectives.” “I never thought it that way. Now that you have associated us with the Devil. We might as well do that, but as for the gatekeeper we have nothing to do with his death. For the last time. Okay?” “That is what all say. We have nothing to do with that until we stepped in,” said the Detective. David cursed. “Are you sure you are just talking about the gatekeeper because if that is so, I suggest if you want answers? Go back to your headquarters and ask among yourselves who really killed the gatekeeper,” roared David. “What makes you say that, Mr. David?” “Why would I kill a man responsible for approving loans? I don’t need a loan. I am or going to be probably the richest man alive. I have enough countries’ funds in the Global Reserve Bank. So definitely I was not denied a loan to have a motive to kill the gatekeeper. After all, I have enough digital currency to power the whole globe. Money-wise,” he thundered. Detective Billy laughed. “You mean worthless digital currency?” “You don’t get it. Once we are in power, this will be the new medium of exchange,” he said. “Why would the police force kill the gatekeeper?” He laughed. “As far as I am concerned, I was not denied a loan. Neither did I go to the bank to ask if they can fund us. So that I pay people who work for me. But I can’t say the same about your bosses. Trust me. When I have finished pushing the courts about defunding you lot. You will understand the real suspects behind his murder,” he resounded. The detective laughed. “We might have money problems but hey we can always find a way. But that does not mean we have become murderers.” “Damn it! You stubborn...” “Mind your language!” Shouted Detective Billy. “The police institution is obsolete. The police force is obsolete! In actual fact, it has been obsolete for the past ten years or so? Now the biggest threat is you lot. Look at all the people dying at your hands. If the institution was not obsolete all this could not have been happening?” Detective Billy laughed. “The need for a system change has blinded you that you are now blaming everyone even the law enforcement team. We are like messengers. Who are doing their jobs you know?” “You smartass brat!” “Mind your language!” “You think I don’t know what is going on? You damn right know you are heading for doom. What do you do? Start killing innocent people so that you recreate the 1980s rallies. The rallies that justified your presence. This is out of hand. I know for a fact all the killings are to make people start rallying up against police brutality like the 1980s. All these killings by the police are deliberate to stir uprisings so you fight calls for defunding of the police,” he said. The Detective looked shocked. “I am very saddened that you would suggest that all the killings are deliberate,” he said. “Have you read World First. Power Games? The book I wrote?” “Never heard of that book before?” “I explained that due to the mass calls about defunding you lot. Your management with the help of the hospital and doctors who are hacking people illegally. Have designed to ambush and set up even you lot to kill innocent boys, women, and men. The main reason being to stir uprisings that will see your numbers go up instead of what must be happening!” “You are talking about the killing of that boy, right? But the judges acquitted the officers involved in the shootings. So, if a judge had said it’s not our fault so how come you still blame us?” “It’s simple. The judges base their judgment on shared or causal responsibility in that the people fund you lot through taxes. So surely if they knew you are that serious a threat to their lives then the people just like any reasonable man would. Would refuse their money to be used to fund the police etc. The fact that they don’t complain about their money being used to pay the very people who are killing them weakens their complaints after that. Even if you deliberately set on a killing spree. Simply because they are like people buying whatever you are selling. Be it police brutality, harassment, murder, torture, grooming, or Colony collapse strategy at your hands. They have no right to complain simply because they know for a fact that their money is paying you and that means they trust whatever you do? But Detective is this the truth? If people knew that. Surely no one will agree to be funded from money raised through taxes. The whole force when they knew they were obsolete and heading for disaster. They embarked on targeting civilians to stir uprisings that justifies their presence. Surely you are not telling me that all these deaths; day after day are accidental?” Asked David. “They are accidental as the judges have said and acquitted everyone,” said the Detective. “I explained why they acquitted them. But my point is that they know that you are not competent enough to even protect the people you are claiming to protect. The very reason why I am saying the institution is now obsolete. If you make such mistakes killing more than the muggers and robbers, then there is something wrong. It is the stupidity of you coming here and try to play the blame game. When you are the very culprits. You have all the reasons to kill the gatekeeper!” “Mr. David, in the history of my career. I have never had anyone send me back to the headquarters for answers. This is new?” “Welcome to Tomorrow’s World Order. The gatekeeper denied you loans as your bosses were looking for alternative-funding-sources. Money to be used for paying your salaries and wages. So, you have the motive. Secondly, that 666-card means Devil worshippers. Again, I believe the gatekeeper stole the list with all your bosses’ and the presidents’ names on it, as the real devil’s worshippers. He was going to expose all of you, you evil bastards! The very reason you killed him. Where is the missing President?” “I was going to ask you also about that?” “Do you know that he publicly threatened to expose all of you as the real devil worshippers? So again, you have the motive to get him killed. Ever heard a president disappearing without a trance? Unless you lot are involved. I am not stupid. You know?” “Yes. Okay, I will give you points on that, but do you also know that the gatekeeper was responsible for attaching digital weapons and watermarks to money? The very reason for the rise of Tomorrow’s World Order. To stop these. We believe that you send your man to kill him serving him the Ultima-Talionis order which you. Being as clever as you are. You, knowing how some politicians are associated with the Devil’s Eyes cult. You instead of the lion logo you send the Mark of the beast, the 666 card. But one that sends the same message. That we believe also meant the Mark of the beast but referring to your license to kill the Ultimate-Lion-Is?” “I don’t care what you say but we are the least to want him dead at the moment. If he was going to be on our list it is in the future. Surely you can’t come and ask me about this I am going to do in the future. Maybe that you told me that he is responsible for introducing dirty into the system. I will kill him in the future and until then I have a lot of work to do. Excuse me, detective,” said David. He started walking away. “Mr. David. Why would he steal a list of the cult in which he is a member?” “Why not ask his friends in the cult?” “You see. We think you are the only one who would want your hands on that list. Imagine getting rid of all the people you regard as ‘pain’ in the world. Above all, knowing every one of them by name?” “That will be great, but I have nothing to do with his death?” “See that is where I beg to differ. So, let me tell you what happened. I believe you threatened him. Probably served him with an Ultima-Talionis order. Buy you being you. Then stroke a deal with him. He gets you the list then you spare his life.” “So why would I kill me after?” “I believe you tricked him. You promised him his freedom but then again if you spare his life then Tomorrow’s World Order is for nothing. Once he has given you the list you then killed him. Then left the 666-card to divert attention to within the regime or the cult itself. Only you would benefit from his death and getting your hands on the list? I believe that as things stand to win now against this regime. You must kill some of the people on the list? So how on earth would you know who is on the list without the list itself? Mind you we are talking about a cult that survived the test of times. Mr. David. Honestly, where is the list?” He paused. “Mr. David and who of your team killed the gatekeeper?” David stood there speechless. “I killed not the gatekeeper and have never seen the list. But if you happen to come across it. Now that you have said it exist for sure. I might need a copy. Goodbye Detective. Somewhere in the city. “I am not. Damn it. I don’t even know. They met somehow,” she cursed. “Maybe I walk out now whilst I can?” Mark cursed and started walking away. “Mark. I swear I don’t know. But,” she paused. Mark stopped and turned around slowly. He sighed and walked back. “So, tell me?” She sobbed. “He is going to make her takeover as the leader when he goes into the invisible mode. Some years from here,” she said. Mark paced. “You met this Evelina? Did he ask you to get in touch with her?” Carolina sounded upset. “What does that have to do with all this?” “Just answer me?” “We met once a few weeks ago, and he suggested that I train her. But I refused. I have no time for that,” she said, sounding jealous. Mark sighed. “Ok makes sense,” he admitted. “So, we have to create sets of twelve recipients. Until we have given out at least one $millions of our digital currency. Initially to trap their digital weapons. Every phase we can have twelve recipients. We must protect all our recipients from the assassin’s attacks. But if one dies as I said that phase won’t close, meaning they will send twelve assassins who will work hard to destroy evidence. That means the next phase will have an additional twelve assassins to come on top of the number for the phase in question. Every stage they manage to kill our recipients. That remains open, meaning additional assassins,” she explained. Mark breathed hard. Instantly sweat drenched him. He wiped the sweat. Carolina sobbed even more. “What is it?” “Even worse. They send the lowest grade of assassins in the first phase. But after that. They will start sending any level assassins, even the highest level,” she told him. “So, it makes sense. David knew what he was doing. He knew they would send their lowest grade first. So, they might be easy to deal with?”
