Becca I’d never eaten at Skates. My best friend Lucy’s sister was a college freshman at Berkeley, and I remembered being at Lucy’s over winter break and hearing her sister talk about going to Skates with her date and a bunch of friends before a fraternity formal. It sounded sophisticated and cool, and since the day so far had felt like an escape from my regular life, I wanted the fantasy to continue.
